Job Summary & Responsibilities

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and detail-oriented Strategic Sales Manager to lead, support, and optimize Altitude by Direct Travel, our host services division. In this multifaceted role, you will play a pivotal part in the growth and success of our network of independent travel advisors across the US and Canada. Your responsibilities will include fostering relationships with advisors in one of four specialized sales communities, each aligned with a distinct advisor growth path (Luxury, Cruise, Contemporary, and Hosted Corporate & Entertainment), providing exceptional sales support, recruiting and onboarding talent, while helping drive our luxury sales initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a proactive relationship-builder, strong communicator, strategic thinker, and highly organized professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, working closely with advisors and cross-department teams, to align talent, tools, and resources for maximum impact.

 

This is a fully remote position that can be based in the United States or Canada.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Collaboration & Strategic Planning

  • Support the development and execution of Altitude by Direct Travel strategic goals.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, partnerships, and operations, to align strategies and workflows.
  • Collaborate on preferred partner programs and exclusive offers to maximize value for advisors.
  • Streamline processes and address advisors’ efficiency by collaborating with other departments.

 

Advisor Development, Growth & Support

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with ICs, serving as a trusted resource and advocate.
  • Communicate updates, resources, and opportunities regularly to ensure advisors feel supported and informed.
  • Mentor and coach advisors to grow their businesses, achieve success, and identify opportunities for development and retention.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics in collaboration with the VP, Host Services & Luxury Hotel Program to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Help design and implement strategies to drive luxury travel sales among advisors.
  • Share opportunities to expand advisors' luxury client base and leverage preferred partner relationships effectively.

 

Recruitment, Onboarding & Training

  • Identify and attract high-performing travel advisors to affiliate with Altitude by Direct Travel.
  • Organize, coordinate, and support onboarding processes and training programs with the Leisure Support Team for seamless integration and affiliation with Altitude by Direct Travel, ensuring advisors understand available tools, resources, and programs.

 

Tools & Resource Promotion

  • Advocate for the use of company-provided tools, resources, and marketing platforms to enhance advisor success.
  • Partner with Leisure Partnerships and Leisure Support to facilitate training sessions and webinars to educate advisors on maximizing these resources for success.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in hospitality or service industry, previous experience within a travel agency setting would be a plus  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 
  • High level of previous success with organizational and time management  
  • Ability to travel to various locations across DT’s sites.
  • Previous experience in working with discretion and good judgment while maintaining confidentiality 
  • Has excellent verbal, written communication skills and organizational skills 
  • Exhibits sound judgment, problem solving skills and could make decisions on their own 
  • Dedication to unwavering customer service while creating a positive and engaging experience for clients and contacts on the phone 
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US or Canada and have unrestricted work authorization
  • Fluency in both French and English is preferred
