What you’ll do:
- Designs, develops, and delivers comprehensive training programs for various levels; primary focus will be on technical training.
- Facilitates learning solutions and train the trainer sessions as needed.
- Conducts individual and team skills gap analyses and prioritize learning needs.
- Establishes training requirements matrix and training criteria for all job titles.
- Establishes tracking system/program for maintaining training records.
- Assesses effectiveness of training and establish a system for gathering feedback from both trainers and trainees.
- Partners with business leaders to lead, facilitate and manage training & development programs.
- Identifies strong external training vendors in the marketplace; establishes relationships and deploys them as needed.
- Effectively balances decisions based on critical factors (current workloads, budgets, capabilities, etc).
- Leverages best learning practices, standards, and process to ensure that value is created through development and deployment of work products.
- Acts as an effective leader; supporting morale, engagement and career development.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field or 5+ years of equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical training, workforce development, instructional design, or a related training/learning function.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience leading teams, supervising staff, or managing training programs, training operations, or learning delivery functions.
- Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end training programs, including needs assessment, design, development, delivery, and evaluation, within a fast-paced or high-volume operational environment.
- Experience conducting skills gap analyses, documenting findings, and translating results into structured training plans aligned to operational requirements.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., Operations, Engineering, Quality, Human Resources) and communicating training impacts, risks, timelines, and mitigation strategies.
- Experience working in a regulated or compliance-driven environment, including maintaining training documentation, supporting audits, and ensuring adherence to internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) to assign, track, and report training completion and maintain accurate, audit-ready training records.
Desired Skills
- Strong leadership experience managing trainers, instructors, or coordinators
Strong communication, organization, stakeholder management, and presentation skills
Experience in aviation, aerospace, or MRO environments, with familiarity of FAA, EASA, and other regulatory requirements (A&P license preferred)
Experience in regulated environments (e.g., aviation, military, healthcare, manufacturing)
Experience building/scaling training programs and developing policies, governance frameworks, or SOPs
Experience managing external vendors or training partners
Experience with continuous improvement methodologies
