About the TMS Consultant Position

We are seeking a TMS Consultant to design and implement advanced transportation management solutions for leading companies. In this role, you will translate complex business requirements into Manhattan TMS configurations, test and validate solutions, and ensure seamless integration with client supply chain operations.

This position requires strong technical, analytical, and communication skills as you will be working directly with client stakeholders, collaborating with project teams, and delivering solutions that drive measurable results.

Location
  • Remote; may reside anywhere in the contiguous United States.
Essential Functions
  • Assess client functional, technical, and process needs and produce solution requirements.
  • Design and configure Manhattan TMS solutions to meet business objectives.
  • Author technical documentation including design specifications, configuration details, and modifications.
  • Create and execute test plans to validate functionality, performance, and defect-free delivery.
  • Support training and knowledge transfer to ensure client adoption and long-term sustainability.
  • Provide on-site and remote support during project delivery and go-live phases.
  • Manage individual tasks and deadlines with minimal oversight while ensuring deliverables are on-time and high quality.
Travel
  • Travel varies by project; historically 30–40%, though it may range from 0–100% depending on requirements.
Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience implementing or supporting Manhattan Associates TMS or Oracle OTM.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to comprehend technical documentation and translate requirements into actionable tasks.
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Experience with Manhattan Active® Transportation Management (MATM) or Oracle OTM implementations.
  • Knowledge of enterprise platforms such as UNIX/Linux servers and Oracle databases.
  • Proficiency in Oracle SQL for application development or troubleshooting.
