We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. As the Manufacturing Engineer at General Kinematics, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.

This position will report to the Plant Manager. While initially there will be no direct reports for the role, as we grow, team members will likely be added.

Responsibilities:

  1. Champion the GK Way. Be a leader with respect to Safety in all aspects of what you do.
  2. Develop and implement efficient manufacturing processes and workflows to meet production goals and quality standards.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and continuous improvement to streamline product development and manufacturing cycles.
  4. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address production issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal output.
  5. Design and optimize manufacturing layouts, workstations, and production lines for maximum efficiency and safety.
  6. Evaluate and select appropriate manufacturing technologies and equipment to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  7. Create and maintain detailed documentation, including standard operating procedures, process flowcharts, and work instructions.
  8. Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives, implementing Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
  9. Collaborate with suppliers to improve materials and components quality, as well as negotiate cost-effective agreements.
  10. Provide technical support to the production team, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions in a timely manner.
  11. Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in manufacturing engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control standards.
  • Proficient in CAD software and familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Experience in implementing Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Pay: $75,000 to $90,000 paid annually. The range provided is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Other factors that are involved in offer decisions include, and are not limited to a candidate’s experience, qualifications, geography, and internal equity.
