Our offices in Chicago, New York, and London are all composed of naturally-curious individuals who thrive in a team environment and constantly strive for improvement.

About the Position

Old Mission is looking to add a Market Connectivity Analyst to join our Technology Operations team in Chicago. In this role, you will be responsible for owning the ongoing business administration required to support the various ways Old Mission connects to the global financial ecosystem. This is inclusive of market data, order entry ports, and third-party execution management systems. You’ll be the first point of contact for triaging and resolving market data requests from both internal and external vendor counterparties and will be responsible for building strong relationships with relevant data side contacts at each of these data vendors.

Working closely with Finance, you'll track fees associated with all market connectivity, assisting with the generation and review of reports summarizing these costs. You'll manage the tracking and auditing market data subscriptions as the business requires, including handling the ongoing entitlement and reporting obligations associated with each of these subscriptions. Similarly, you'll track and audit logical connections to trading venues as the business requires, working with trading desks and technologists to audit usage and reduce waste.
A key metric of success in this role will be not only completing the tasks as the business required, but owning the creation of sustainable, automated processes for market connectivity management that can scale as Old Mission grows.
Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field of study
  • 3-5 years professional experience at an exchange, trading firm, or trading industry adjacent firm
  • Strong data management/analysis skills with extreme eye for detail
  • Experience translating database outputs into business actions and recommendations
  • Equally comfortable spending the day talking to people as spending the day working with data sets
  • Previous experience in a role supporting technical business operations required, specific experience working with market data and/or logical exchange connectivity a plus.
  • Natural curiosity into how your own tasks fit support the broader business objectives, beyond where your own responsibilities end
  • Experience working in an industry and in-office environment requiring a high degree of professional decorum
  • Internal audit experience a plus.

Benefits and Perks

  • Fully paid Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, and Life Insurance
  • Fully stocked kitchen; free breakfast and lunch every day on-site
  • Tuition Reimbursement Program
  • 401(k) with employer match

  • Commuter and Flexible Spending Programs
