Reports to: Director of Experience

Who We Are

Pomp is a Denver-based, digitally native startup building the future of skincare retail and esthetician technology. We’re the first platform that empowers estheticians with tools to recommend products, communicate with clients, and grow their businesses through a unified SaaS + marketplace experience.

We’re not just modernizing skincare retail — we’re creating an entirely new category.

What This Role Is

This is a unique hybrid role blending local market field sales, software sales, and customer onboarding & success. You will be the “Mayor of Scottsdale” — the face of Pomp across the Phoenix/Scottsdale esthetician community — while also serving as a tech-savvy AE who supports inbound demand, runs virtual demos, and ensures new estheticians activate successfully on the platform.

You’ll build relationships, close deals, run onboarding, and help estheticians find early success — all while operating as one of Pomp’s first sales hires. This means high ownership, comfort with ambiguity, and excitement about shaping our playbooks, processes, and culture.

If you’ve ever wanted to build something from the ground up while also getting the energy of in-person community relationships, this role is for you.

What You Will Do

1. Local Market Field Sales (Scottsdale/Phoenix Focus)

  • Build deep relationships within the esthetician community — becoming a known, trusted resource.
  • Attend local events, clinic visits, trainings, and community gatherings to grow Pomp awareness.
  • Own the entire esthetician market in your region, including outbound prospecting and networking.
  • Schedule and run in-person meetings, walk-ins, and onboarding sessions.

2. SaaS & Marketplace Sales (Virtual + Inbound)

  • Respond to inbound leads with speed and professionalism; run virtual discovery calls and demos.
  • Deliver compelling, consultative product demos tailored to each esthetician’s workflow.
  • Confidently explain Pomp’s platform, marketplace tools, and the business value behind them.
  • Manage a healthy pipeline across both inbound and self-sourced opportunities.

3. Onboarding & Activation

  • Guide newly signed estheticians through a high-touch, structured onboarding experience.
  • Train customers in-person and virtually on platform setup, storefront usage, product uploads, and communication tools.
  • Shorten time-to-value by ensuring every esthetician hits key activation milestones early.
  • Build trust, momentum, and excitement from Day 1 so estheticians see immediate results.

4. Customer Success & Community Building

  • Conduct ongoing check-ins to help estheticians grow their business on Pomp.
  • Capture user feedback and partner closely with product and marketing to improve adoption and education.
  • Identify power users and help cultivate local ambassadors, testimonials, and referral relationships.
  • Support virtual education sessions, webinars, and community-led events.

5. Early-Stage Leadership & Ambiguity Navigation

  • Help define sales processes, onboarding workflows, and best practices — nothing is “plug and play” yet.
  • Operate with autonomy, testing new approaches and sharing learnings with the team.
  • Be comfortable wearing multiple hats as Pomp builds toward specialized roles (AE, BDR, onboarding, etc.).

What Success Looks Like

  • Rapid growth in esthetician adoption within the Phoenix/Scottsdale market
  • High conversion and activation rates from both inbound and field-sourced leads
  • Strong customer satisfaction and repeat engagement
  • Continuous improvement of sales, onboarding, and success playbooks
  • A thriving community of estheticians who view Pomp as a partner, not a vendor

Qualifications

Required

  • 4–5+ years in sales, account management, or customer success, ideally with a SaaS or tech-enabled product.
  • Experience conducting product demos, client trainings, or onboarding (virtual or in-person).
  • Strong ability to build relationships with a trust-driven customer base.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue or KPI targets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Tech-savvy and quick to learn new platforms and tools.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and energized by building new processes from scratch.
  • Self-driven, organized, and highly accountable.

Preferred

  • Experience developing or scaling new markets, especially within early-stage or fast-growth orgs
  • Experience in beauty, skincare, wellness, or creator/independent business tools.
  • Familiarity with SaaS metrics (activation, retention, engagement).
  • Background in field sales, community building, or territory ownership.
  • Bachelor’s degree (not required).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary (typically part of a 60/40 OTE structure)
  • Quarterly variable plan tied to signups, onboarding completion, and activation metrics
  • Opportunity for overtime eligibility depending on structure
  • Total OTE range typically $80K–$120K+ at 100% attainment
  • Benefits package, professional development opportunities, and access to exclusive product discounts
  • A chance to build the foundation of Pomp’s sales culture and career pathways

Why Join Pomp

This is not a typical sales role — it’s a chance to shape an industry. You’ll build community, empower independent estheticians, and help define how beauty professionals thrive in the digital era.

If you’re a relationship-driven salesperson with strong SaaS instincts, a love for the beauty industry, and a desire to build something meaningful, we would love to meet you.
