Cars.com is seeking a passionate, data savvy Marketing Analyst to join the Marketing Analytics team and fuel our mission of growth through data-driven insights and opportunity discovery. In this dynamic role you will become an integral part of the Marketing Analytics team, leveraging our marketing and site data to tell compelling stories and drive innovation and development of our marketing efforts. You will also enable stakeholders with actionable, intuitive measurement & performance reporting that provides the business with the insights to grow. The ideal candidate will have a robust mix of technical and communication skills, with a passion for optimization, data storytelling, and data visualization. This is an exciting opportunity to be a key influencer to the company’s strategic decisions around our marketing efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Support B2C marketing, B2B marketing, and Commerce Media teams by helping to identify and translate measurement needs into actionable analyses, reports, and dashboards.

  • Synthesize internal and third party data into actionable insights about marketing performance, shopper behavior, and customer value delivery. Clearly communicate these insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders. 

  • Actively participate in cross-functional initiatives, collaborating with team members to achieve and measure project success. Lead development of analysis and insights.

  • Create and maintain compelling, intuitive dashboards to enable the business with critical metrics, with a focus on data automation, performance insights, and actionable data visualizations.

  • Leverage technical tools (e.g., AWS Redshift, Tableau, Python, R) to maintain ETL processes, implement data QA best practices, and analyze data within cloud environments.

  • Work with marketing teams to develop insights and recommendations about campaign performance, optimization opportunities, and channel growth opportunities.

  • Support the compilation and analysis of consumer marketing KPIs (i.e. leads, visits, UVs) for use in marketing and cross-functional business reviews.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years professional experience in a marketing analytics role and experience with digital analytics

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics or related field preferred but not required

  • Experience with analyzing large datasets and coming up with actionable business insights 

  • Strong SQL skills and knowledge of Tableau are a must; experience with statistical analysis and modeling and other technical tools such as R, Python is a plus

  • Familiarity with various marketing platforms and tools (GA4, Appsflyer, Google Ads, Meta Business Manager, The Trade Desk, etc.) a plus

  • Understanding of A/B testing is required; strong A/B testing design knowledge is a plus

  • Experience with common marketing models (MMM) is a plus

  • Evidence of analytical skills, problem solving, business acumen, strong logical thinking and ability to put together compelling data-driven insights

Salary Range

$64,600.00-79,150.00
