Job Title:Marketing and Communications Specialist

Department:Fisher College | Marketing and Communications

The Marketing and Communications Specialist for Advancement combines strategic marketing and communications, project management and collaboration skills to develop and oversee implementation of relevant, compelling and targeted marketing campaigns and materials that support the Office of Advancement at Fisher College of Business, including alumni relations, donor engagement, and stewardship.

This role works in partnership with Fisher’s Office of Advancement to create actionable strategies to drive advancement and external outreach and engagement priorities for the college, including engaging external stakeholders such as alumni, donors, friends and corporate partners of the college; collaborates with Office of Advancement representatives to create strategies and deliverables that integrate marketing and communications best practices with alumni- and donor-focused initiatives from ideation to implementation including, but not limited to: pre- and post-event content, collateral, email marketing, print and digital communications and website support; ensures communications align with institutional positioning while driving awareness, participation and philanthropic impact; provides support to marketing and communications initiatives that overlap with other college units; manages Fisher’s Alumni and Friends landing page, newsroom and email newsletter; supports Fisher’s alumni advisory committees and councils through the creation of meeting collateral (agendas, informational packets, etc.), newsletters to board members, and updates to webpages.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications or related field of study, or equivalent experience. 4 years of relevant experience required. Requires an understanding of marketing, communications, email marketing and project management strategies, best practices, software solutions and other project management tools. 

 

Desired Qualifications

Advanced degree preferred. 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred. Demonstrated experience developing brand, marketing, and communication strategies, preferably in higher education; ability to think creatively and strategically, while being detail oriented and following a project from ideation through implementation; expert project management skills, the ability to balance and prioritize multiple work streams and deliverables to ensure deadlines are met, and the ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment; ability, work experience, and knowledge of design principles; professional demeanor and customer service mindset, including the ability to build collaborative working relationships; experience working on a small, collaborative team with limited resources to execute team goals.

Additional Information:

The target hiring range for this job profile (S3) is $64,900 - $76,000. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limit to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
