Job Description
Beacon Funding is a direct equipment lender serving small and mid-size businesses in towing, septic, hardscaping, landscaping, light construction, screen printing, and embroidery. We’re hiring a Marketing Coordinator to own execution-level work across publication outreach, SEO/AEO support, content publishing, email writing, and other marketing channels. This role works directly with the Senior Digital Marketer to help execute on identified digital marketing strategies. Job Responsibilities
- Identify and contact trade publications, industry directories, and high-authority websites across Beacon Funding’s target verticals
- Conduct outreach via email, phone, and online submission forms to explore advertising, backlink, and guest editorial opportunities
- Research and document contact names, submission processes, content requirements, pricing, and editorial calendars
- Build ongoing relationships with publication contacts and report findings to Senior Digital Marketer weekly
- Draft initial press release outlines and first drafts for Senior Digital Marketer review
- Update on-page content on core website pages per Senior Digital Marketer’s direction — FAQs, factual updates, and AEO-optimized summary copy
- Optimize YouTube video titles, descriptions, chapters, and tags to align with SEO and brand standards
- Support the monthly AI search visibility audit by testing queries across ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews and documenting results
- Apply schema markup code to CMS pages following Senior Digital Marketer guidance
- Publish approved blog articles to the Beacon Funding website following formatting and SEO standards
- Schedule and post approved social content per the content calendar
- Ensure all content is correctly formatted, linked, and tagged before going live
- Write original and engaging content for marketing campaigns based on briefs provided from SME
- Proof and edit content to keep marketing materials up to date
- Gather requirements to assess project needs
- Keep detailed notes and assist with meeting prep
- Create and manage assigned tasks in the project management system
- Complete assigned research and marketing projects
- Manage time to effectively meet expectations and deadlines
Job Requirements
- 4 – 10 years of experience in B2B marketing, communications, or a coordinator role
- Strong writer — clear, professional, and on-brand across email, social, and outreach
- Comfortable on the phone and building relationships with external and internal contacts
- Organized and self-managing across multiple simultaneous projects
- Active user of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) in your daily workflow
- Foundational knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Understanding of SEO principles, including domain authority and backlink building
- Experience working with a Content Management System (CMS) like DNN or HubSpot or WordPress
- Familiar with keyword research and backlink auditor tool like SEMrush or Ahrefs
- Comfortable using project management tools like Jira or Trello
- Experience with social media publishing platforms such as Statusbrew or Hootsuite
- Degree in marketing or journalism
- Experience with Google Analytics 4
- Certified in Backlink Management or in SEO Link Building
- Relevant certifications in SEO, content marketing, or inbound marketing (e.g., SEMrush, HubSpot, or similar)
