Job Description

The role of Marketing Manager is a critical one as it relates to our internal strategies and processes launching these through sales, teams and enablement, and reaching directly to customers to impact their businesses.  This person will oversee key programs and strategies. They will design marketing campaigns, analyze consumer trends, manage budgets, and lead cross functional groups to enhance brand awareness and drive sales. This pivotal role bridges product development, sales, and customers across our organization.

 

As a Marketing Manager, you will develop and implement effective marketing strategies that increase brand visibility, drive sales and boost customer engagement. Within the Marketing team, you will work closely with project management, graphic design and branding, and others to ensure marketing campaigns align with product launches and customer needs. You will also assist in planning and executing events and product launches.  As a Marketing leader, you’ll work with customers on how to implement and leverage our company’s products and promotions to promote their business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Strategy & Research:

  • Develop comprehensive go-to-market strategies by analyzing customer insights, competitor data, and market trends.
  • Conduct market research to identify customer trends, competitor offerings and demographic data.

 

Program & Campaign Management:

  • Plan, conceptualize, and execute multi-channel campaigns (digital, print, social, and events).
  • Liaise with creative teams to come up with branding ideas, graphic designs, promotional materials and advertising copies.
  • Manage marketing campaigns depending on robust data and present the recommendations to management.
  • Help in outbound and inbound marketing activities by displaying expertise in certain areas such as events planning, advertising, optimization and content development.
  • Development and execution of marketing plans, projects, initiatives – providing KPI’s and ROI, with ability to leverage marketing best practices to build successful strategies
  • Manufacturer collaboration - develop relationships with key personnel regarding product marketing, dealer/distributor programs and brand marketing. Ability to implement select OEM programs and strategically integrate into local programs
  • Ability to navigate Co-op programs and related process across brands.
  • Develop and manage customer programs including loyalty, acquisition, lead generation, product promotions, and retail campaigns.

Analytics & ROI:

  • Monitor campaign performance, track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and adjust strategies to improve conversion rates and maximize budget efficiency.
  • Investigate the performance of a company’s marketing campaigns and strategies through evaluating key performance metrics.
  • Work in partnership with finance to manage marketing budgets, participate in forecasting activities, and driving ROI
  • Identify and build consensus on KPIs for all programs; analyze performance results and make appropriate recommendations for future programs.

 

Vendor Collaboration:

  • Manage relationships with external creative agencies, freelancers, and media partners.

 

Customer Liason: 

  • Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing clients through ties to sales, stores and other internally established avenues.
  • Drive customer-centered decisions and voice of the customer within the organization and in our marketing initiatives
  • Strong and effective communicator, business writer with copywriting talents
  • Marketing support through consultative assistance for customers.

Qualifications

  • Team player with strong skills in the areas of leadership, motivation, relationship building, and communications. Entrepreneurial mind-set.
  • 7-10+ years of marketing and advertising in B2B (to C), dealer marketing, and co-op programs
  • Consulting with small-medium sized businesses a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Marketing or Communications and equivalent work experience (BA/BS)
  • Thorough understanding and demonstrated experience in all mediums of integrated/360-degree marketing including Traditional, OOH, Direct, Digital. Work in eCommerce, Mobile/Apps is a plus.
  • Track record of program development with project management implementation from concept to successful completion.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and forecasting a must.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Effective communicator in written, verbal, and presentations.   
  • Passion for customers and the customer experience, with a high level of professionalism.
  • Proficient in partnerships with sales organizations to drive growth and managing sales promotion programs.
  • Experience managing vendors and agencies.
  • Strong organizational, time management skills, and prioritization skills along with the ability to multi-task effectively and pivot without missing a beat.
  • Ability to travel is mandatory, 25-40% is possible at key times of the year.

Schedule & Location

Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm

In-office/Lansing, IL

Full-time, 40 hours/week

Salary Expectations

Minimum starting salary of $90k annually

Starting salary based on experience
