About the Role

Are you passionate about education, technology, and creating meaningful impact? CodeHS is looking for a dynamic and driven Marketing Manager to help us grow our reach and bring computer science education to more schools, teachers, and students across the country.

At CodeHS, we believe every student should have the opportunity to learn computer science. Our platform empowers schools and educators with curriculum, tools, and support to bring high-quality CS education to their classrooms. As Marketing Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in amplifying our mission by managing and executing marketing strategies that expand awareness, drive engagement, and support our educator community.

Location:
Full Office - this role is a 5 days a week office role in the CodeHS Chicago Office in River North.

Salary Range: $70-$90k


What You’ll Do

As the Marketing Manager, you will own and drive a broad range of marketing initiatives. You’ll collaborate across teams to ensure consistent, effective messaging and create experiences that resonate with educators and school leaders. This is a marketing generalist role that works across all areas of marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute marketing campaigns that promote CodeHS programs, curriculum, and partnerships
  • Develop and manage marketing content across channels: email, blog, product updates, landing pages, and newsletters
  • Write and manage compelling email campaigns for customer acquisition and engagement
  • Manage and grow our social media presence to share stories, resources, and updates with our community
  • Support and promote CodeHS at education conferences (virtual and in-person)
  • Create case studies and customer success stories that highlight impact
  • Refine brand voice and messaging to maintain consistency across all touchpoints
  • Collaborate on design and marketing collateral to support product launches and outreach campaigns
  • Drive teacher engagement strategies both on and off the platform to build loyalty and community
    Research and test new channels for reaching potential educators and school decision-makers


What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a mission-aligned marketer who’s excited to work at a small, fast-paced, and growing team making a big impact in K–12 education.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in marketing
  • Strong writing and content creation skills, especially in email and blog marketing
  • Experience managing social media platforms and brand messaging
  • Deep attention to detail and exceptional project management skills
    Ability to work independently, take initiative, and execute quickly
  • Experience working with design tools or collaborating with designers (Canva, Figma, or similar)
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills; you’ll work with product, sales, and support teams regularly
  • Passion for education and belief in the importance of computer science for all students
  • Bonus: Experience in the edtech industry or working with educators/schools
