Glitch Productions is an independent animation studio based in Australia making original, long-form animated shows distributed on YouTube. Our channel has over 22 million subscribers, tens of millions of views per episode, and is still growing strong. Our studio is filled with incredibly talented and passionate artists determined to change the way animation is produced and treated in the industry. One of our latest IP, The Amazing Digital Circus, has amassed over 400 million views on the pilot alone, and we have a lot more still to come.
Job Information
We are looking for a Marketing Operations Manager to run the day to day production of our marketing team, managing schedules and project managing the creation of marketing assets like videos, photos, animations, 3D renders, graphics, and admats. This role will also plan campaign schedules ahead of time, including photoshoots, creative ideation, and banners.
Alongside this, the role will focus on improving the systems and workflows that keep marketing production running efficiently as the team scales. The ideal candidate is equal parts hands-on production manager and systems thinker, someone who can keep a busy team of artists on track day to day while building a scalable operational system behind the scenes. We are currently using Asana for all of our project management and tracking but are looking to move to Airtable.
Your duties will include:
Production Management
- Managing the day to day schedules of a marketing production team of 6+ artists, balancing workload and availability across concurrent projects.
- Project managing marketing production tasks end to end, including videos, photos, graphics, and admats, from brief through to delivery.
- Managing, tracking and supervising the production of 3D renders, 3D/2D animated short clips and 2D illustrations.
- Managing and scheduling time across the artists and specialists involved (designers, photographers, videographers, editors, etc.) to hit campaign deadlines.
- Communication with other managers from external departments such as licensing, brand and merchandise to discuss & manage resource allocation and incoming asset requests.
- Clearly communicating goals, milestones, and benchmarks so the team stays aligned on shared objectives.
- Identifying blockers and potential delays ahead of time and working with leadership to circumvent them.
Systems & Operations
- Planning, building, and continuously improving marketing systems and workflows to support the evolving needs of Glitch.
- Automating and optimising various parts of the marketing operation process
- Identifying gaps or inefficiencies in current marketing operations and implementing scalable solutions.
- Organising completed assets and production records for easy retrieval and reporting.
Campaign Planning
- Planning marketing campaigns ahead of time, including photoshoots, creative ideation, and banner/asset requirements.
- Breaking down upcoming campaigns and content initiatives into the core assets needed, and scheduling the work required to deliver them on time.
- Organising, facilitating, and taking notes in planning meetings with artists and other stakeholders, and following up on action items.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience managing production schedules within a structured pipeline, such as 3D, 2D, or marketing production.
- Strong experience planning and running marketing campaigns (photoshoots, creative ideation, asset planning).
- Experience building or managing operational systems.
- A keen, strategic, and analytical mind able to break down problems and solve them efficiently.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- An understanding or experience with the arts, animation, gaming, and/or 'internet nerd' culture.
- Be extremely organised with a strong work ethic.
- Engaging personality and willingness to learn.
- Positive, go-getter attitude with a passion for making things.
- Conflict management skills and knowledge of mediation techniques.
- Experience with Airtable and Adobe suite .
