Position Summary
As a Marketing Strategist on Guild’s Marketing Team, you will lead the development, execution, and optimization of enterprise-level marketing campaigns for the Retail Mortgage Channel. Your work will directly support local loan officers by increasing brand awareness, generating qualified leads, and strengthening engagement across key homebuyer and homeowner segments.
Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you will supervise a small team of marketing managers and will collaborate closely with Sales Leadership, Sales Enablement, Marketing Education, Creative, and Project Management teams to ensure campaigns align with business objectives and are effectively deployed throughout the organization.
Compensation
This role is an exempt position with a Targeted Salary Range of $82,000 to $110,000 annually.
Compensation at Guild is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to local and federal minimum wage requirements, education, level of experience, and applicant’s geographical location.
Essential Functions
- Strategic Campaign Planning & Development
- Design and plan integrated marketing campaigns (digital, print, email, social, direct mail, events) aligned to Guild’s overall marketing and retail growth strategy.
- Develop campaign briefs, messaging frameworks, and audience targeting recommendations based on market insights and customer segmentation.
- Provide clear strategic direction to the Creative Team, ensuring briefs include objectives, audience insights, tone, channel context and success criteria.
- Campaign Execution & Management
- Manage end-to-end execution of enterprise marketing campaigns. This will include hands-on work, in addition to the supervision of a small team of marketing managers who support business lines, including retail product, recruiting, and community lending. You will coordinate cross-functional resources, including creative, content, digital, analytics, sales enablement, and marketing education teams, in alignment with marketing project management team.
- Partner closely with the Creative Team to translate strategy into compelling concepts and assets that meet channel requirements and brand standards.
- Lead Generation & Funnel Strategy
- Build strategies to drive high-quality purchase and refinance leads for retail loan officers from enterprise marketing campaigns.
- Partner with sales leadership and operations teams to ensure marketing-to-sales lead flow and conversion processes are aligned.
- Brand Awareness & Local Market Support
- Guide development of localized campaign assets that support individual loan officer brand presence while maintaining Guild’s core brand identity.
- Collaborate with the Creative Team to adapt enterprise campaign assets for specific regions, audiences or field needs while preserving brand consistency.
- Work with Sales Enablement and Marketing Education teams to ensure loan officers understand how to access and deploy corporate campaigns and materials.
- Performance Analysis & Optimization
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for programs and campaigns.
- Monitor results, develop insights, and recommend optimizations to improve ROI, lead quality, and engagement across all marketing channels.
- Partner with Creative to test and refine visual approaches, messaging formats, and asset types based on performance insights.
- Collaboration with Creative Team
- Serve as the strategic liaison between Marketing Strategy and Creative.
- Translate business goals, audience insights, and channel requirements into actionable creative briefs.
- Provide timely feedback, context, and decision-making to ensure creative concepts stay aligned with campaign strategy.
- Participate in creative reviews and help guide iterations to meet performance, brand, and compliance goals.
- Advocate for creative resourcing needs, timelines, and prioritization within campaign planning.
- Collaboration with Sales Enablement & Marketing Education
- Serve as a strategic marketing partner to sales enablement and marketing education teams.
- Provide campaign strategy context, messaging guidance, and rollout planning support so these teams can effectively train, educate, and support retail loan officers.
- Align campaign calendars with training, communications, and enablement initiatives to ensure cohesive launch and adoption.
- Compliance & Regulatory Coordination
- Work closely with compliance and legal partners to ensure all marketing campaigns and assets meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Market Research & Segmentation
- Conduct ongoing research on housing market trends, consumer behavior, competitive positioning, and regional nuances.
- Use insights to inform audience segmentation and campaign strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree directly related to the position or equivalent, preferred.
- Minimum five years' experience in marketing, preferably in financial services, mortgage, real estate, banking, or another regulated industry.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work well independently or within a team.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated success developing and managing integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns.
- Strong analytical ability with experience evaluating campaign performance and generating actionable insights.
- Experience leveraging AI technologies for market research, audience insights, data analysis, and ongoing campaign optimization to drive more effective and efficient marketing outcomes.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience working cross-functionally with sales, operations, enablement, or field-based teams.
- Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation systems, digital channels, and performance analytics tools.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements
