Let’s get to business! We are growing and looking to add a Brand Manager to our Growth & Brand Marketing team. Reporting to the Sr Director of Growth & Brand Marketing, this role will be instrumental in driving brand strategy, brand media, brand campaigns, reputation management, voice of the customer, PR/Communications, social media, and recruitment marketing. Our ideal candidate must be a self-starter, eager to take on the challenge and opportunity of building the Avant business and brand. This position will work with cross-functional teams consisting of Product, Business Development, Risk, Operations, Compliance, Legal and more. The candidate must have strong relationship-building skills and a proven track record in growth/performance and brand marketing. What you do at Avant:
- Play a lead role in shaping the future brand vision and crafting the brand migration path to get there
- Evolve the brand strategy via creative & messaging platforms to deliver the business targets at a product and segment level
- Set up and enforce the standards to have consistent brand delivery across all marketing vehicles and stakeholder touchpoints
- Maintain existing agency relationship to drive monthly planning and execution, as well as holding agency accountable for deliverables and KPIs
- Engage with internal Marketing Analytics & Insights team and market intelligence agencies on research and consumer insights to support brand channel strategy and tactics, conduct voice of the customer research, competitor proposition benchmarking, etc.
- Drive strategy and execution of brand mass media strategies to support awareness and acquisition pipeline objectives and KPIs
- Lead reputation management, voice of customer and social media strategy and work across teams and functions to execute
- Partner with the Public Relations agency to create, maintain, and protect the organization's reputation, enhance its awareness, present a favorable image, and garner positive media coverage
- Explore and propose brand affiliations such as sponsorships, spokespeople and co-branding deals with Partnerships/Business Development team
- Create, manage, test and analyze creative and media campaigns across offline and online channels from conception through execution
- Work with internal Marketing Analytics & Insights team and external media agency on data feeds and reporting to manage campaign effectiveness and KPIs, ultimately using findings to recommend ways to optimize spend and make improvements to brand media campaigns
- Collaborate with the Marketing team in exploring new initiatives, emerging media, marketing channels, and other projects
- Ensure best practices, techniques and new opportunities are shared and implemented across the Marketing organization
- Partner with Talent on recruitment marketing and brand building strategies to support talent acquisition
- Coach, develop and train high-performing team
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary

- 7+ years of professional experience in a Marketing or Business function (i.e. strategy, planning, operations)
- Experience setting brand strategy and executing a brand activation/migration plan

Other Desirable Skills:
- Emerging brand media experience (OTT, streaming audio, programmatic, etc.)
- At least 5 years experience in people management in a fast paced, high growth environment
- Creative development and production experience
- Financial-services/Fintech experience
- Knowledge and impact of industry regulations and compliance including TCPA, UDAP, GDPR & CCPA
- Experience with Excel, SQL, Looker or other visualization tools
- Experience with Adobe suite, Heap, Telium, Segment, Braze, Oracle Responsys, Google Analytics
