Head of Brand & Communications

As the Head of Brand & Communications, you’ll lead a growing team focused on building a strong brand and reputation for DRW and our affiliated companies (Convexity Properties, Cumberland, DRW Venture Capital, to name a few) and telling our story strategically and creatively to internal and external audiences. This is an ideal role for someone who prefers breadth over a narrow focus and who thrives when the pace is quick and each day brings new opportunities.
What you’ll do in this role:
- Lead the creation and execution of brand, strategic communications and public relations initiatives to support the business objectives of DRW and our affiliated companies
- Oversee content strategy and planning for all communications channels, including social media, websites, blogs, newsletters and company meetings
- Serve as the principal communications advisor to CEO and key company leaders
- Manage media relations strategy and develop and maintain relationships with industry, national and international media
- Collaborate with other teams, including talent acquisition, HR, public policy and corporate philanthropy, to ensure a consistent and compelling brand narrative
- Build the brand and communications capabilities of the firm globally
You’ll be right at home if you have:
- 10+ years of experience in brand marketing, PR or strategic communications, including managing global teams and agencies
- Extensive experience working with top tier media outlets and deep understanding of media relations process
- Top notch writing, editing and storytelling skills
- A demonstrated ability to implement process and best practices, but also adapt quickly to the changing demands of the business
- An open and collaborative approach to getting the job done
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, PR, Communications, Marketing or related field
- Relevant experience in the financial trading industry or related industries (fintech, venture capital, cryptoassets, B2B tech) is a bonus
