Summary
The Manager, Diversity Talent Engagement Marketing & Events is a leader focused on attracting a pipeline of diverse talent across Discover through diversity partnership engagement and marketing activities. They are responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating strategic activities including: campaign development, strategic recommendations, sourcing, and event planning. They will enhance our sourcing strategy diversity candidate outreach, so it expertly aligns with our employer brand position.
Responsibilities
National and Local Diversity Candidate Engagement: Leads the communications and events strategies for the team including events, activities and strategic communications across channels.
Design activities to increase brand awareness and attract a pipeline of diverse talent
Diversity outreach is a key component to the strategy. Manage community outreach and partnerships with public, private and nonprofit organizations helping advance diversity recruitment, building repeatable programs/partnerships that create pipelines as new sourcing channels
Work with local ERGs to amplify Discover stories in the community and determine which outreach efforts can provide the most talent acquisition yield
Manage expense forecasting and billing to ensure quality and accuracy of efforts
Marketing Campaign Integration: Leverage key community events as activation tentpoles part of broader integrated campaigns to drive brand engagement pre, during and post events
Continuously innovate marketing and event plans based on results and ROI
Consider local market media efforts needed to improve Discover’s position as a sought after employer
Work with agency partners to optimize campaign efforts increasing engagements, click through rates and applications
Conduct baseline industry, competitive, and candidate research to develop comprehensive and compelling business cases for new marketing initiatives or enhancements to the existing initiatives
Develop diversity events scorecard for talent attraction efforts. Outlining application to hire ratios and establishing projections for outreach needs based on historical conversion rates and diversity goals
Relationship Management: Act as a liaison to diversity organizations externally, performing analysis to deliver data-driven candidate attraction activities and manage sourcing requests
Manage relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., Employee Resource Groups, DE&I, Community Affairs, business units, and TA partners, etc.) to advance recruitment outreach and engagement in alignment with Discover’s D&I goals
Manage relationships with key diversity partners externally, working closely to ensure Discover’s goals and the organizations’ goals are aligned
Candidate Experience:
Identify new ways to leverage data and information to drive insights and better understand candidates’ experiences
Regularly communicate status to relevant internal parties; and presents findings to leadership
Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes of equal employment.
At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:
Bachelor's Degree
6+ years of experience in Recruiting, Diversity, or EEO/AAP experience
In lieu of a degree, 6+ years of experience in Recruiting, Diversity, or EEO/AAP experience
Preferred Qualifications
If we had our say, we’d also look for:
· 6+ years of experience cultivating relationships with diversity partners
· 6+ years of event management experience, diversity events preferred
