Meet the Marketplace Team
The Marketplace Team at PerkSpot is made of talented individuals with the success of the PerkSpot platform top of mind. As a member of this team, you will be expected to understand every aspect of our customer and vendor journey. You will then use this knowledge to write content - articles, emails, instructions, and more - that will inform our customers on the value of using PerkSpot to help them make important financial decisions. Your work (and words!) will define the decisions our members make for years to come.
Life as the Marketplace Content Manager:
- Serve as the main voice for PerkSpot’s customer-facing communication
- Oversee PerkSpot’s membership communications across several digital channels - email, mobile notifications, social media, web notifications, etc.
- Draft and publish thought leadership pieces promoting top merchants and PerkSpot
- When appropriate, solicit outside help (influencers, research, etc.) to inform key content pieces
- Work with the member communication team to ensure all live content is on-brand and in line with PerkSpot’s values
- Research, identify and communicate the unique values associated with a PerkSpot partnership
- Assist internal teams with client-facing communication
- Partner with the Loyalty team to distill the loyalty program to its simplest expression; create/design digital assets (gifs, emails, etc.) to help advertise the program to our merchant partners
- Prioritize PerkSpot’s value and success; constantly thinking of ways to improve the product
- Attend regular team and staff meetings to go over company goals, success benchmarks, and sales strategies
What we’re looking for:
- At least two years’ experience in content creation, graphic design, and/or business communications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Demonstrated design and copy background; well-rounded portfolio strongly preferred
- Past experience composing thoughtful, easy-to-understand short and long form content
- Top-notch written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent research and critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail and organization; ability to meet deadlines and work independently
- Ability to multitask, collaborate, and work well in a team
- Ability to multitask, as well as set and manage one’s own deadlines
- Desire to learn and grow within a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment
- Proven understanding of PerkSpot’s values as a whole and a willingness to work hard to achieve company goals
Your First Few Months
Culture is very important at PerkSpot, which is why you’ll spend the first few weeks getting the lay of the land and adjusting to the way we work. From there, you’ll work with the Marketplace team to learn about the PerkSpot platform and its operations. Then, we’ll teach you the ins and outs of our systems and processes, all our technical tools, and our reporting practices. You’ll then work with the loyalty team to learn their business and eventually, all of this will culminate in the opportunity to compose and design compelling content that advertises the PerkSpot brand to its marketplace of 17 million, with consistent mentorship from our Director of Member Communications.
