SEO Specialist, Zoro Tools
Company Summary: In the past seven years, Zoro has grown from a group of 6 people working out of a 2,000 square foot building, offering fewer than 100,000 products to a group of 250+ working out of a 60,000+ square foot building, offering more than 2,000,000 unique products.
Primary Function:
The SEO Specialist will work with the SEO manager to help improve Zoro.com’s organic visibility in search engines. Zoro is a very large ecommerce site (over 2 million URLs), and there is a lot of opportunity for improving our SEO performance. SEO is an important priority at Zoro so you’ll have the resources to get stuff done and make an impact on a site that serves thousands of customers daily.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- SEO Keyword research
- Improve on-page SEO for landing pages including: title tags, meta descriptions, and on-page copy.
- Technical SEO audits
- Creating and improving reports for SEO performance
- Work with content team to identify and create new content
- Work with software development team to implement technical SEO recommendations
- Work with UX/UI team to make sure the customer experience aligns with SEO best practices
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years SEO experience (agency or in-house)
- Experience with Google keyword planner, Search Console and Google analytics
- Ability to think critically and diagnose SEO issues
- Highly organized and strong attention to detail
- Quick learner
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Google docs
- Familiarity with SEOClarity/Brightedge or other enterprise SEO platforms a plus
- Familiarity with SEMrush a plus
- Familiarity with agile/scrum methodology a plus
