About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Master Data Management (MDM) Solutions Architect to support the design, implementation, and delivery of enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) solutions for large-scale organizations. This role is ideal for someone with strong Riversand/Syndigo expertise who enjoys working directly with business and technical stakeholders to architect scalable, high-quality data management solutions.

The successful candidate will play a key role in defining solution architecture, guiding implementation teams, establishing best practices, and ensuring successful project delivery within a consulting environment.

Position Summary

The MDM Solutions Architect is responsible for the successful design, implementation, and delivery of enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) solutions. This individual will provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business objectives while working closely with project teams and stakeholders.

  • Define the overall MDM solution architecture and establish delivery standards and technical guidelines.
  • Prepare and review detailed solution designs to ensure quality, scalability, and alignment with project requirements.

  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to design and implement enterprise MDM strategies, governance frameworks, and rollout plans.
  • Work closely with Project Managers regarding project scope, timelines, resource planning, and deliverables.
  • Determine implementation approaches based on approved solution architecture and design documentation.
  • Conduct architectural assessments and analyze business processes to recommend optimal solutions.
  • Support the creation of enterprise data models and user interface definitions.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to project team members.
  • Validate infrastructure architecture and oversee environment configuration, implementation, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Deliver solution knowledge transfer and technical training to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Design and coordinate testing strategies, including impact assessments and solution validation.
  • Lead performance tuning and optimization activities.
  • Participate in architecture reviews and technical solution governance throughout project delivery.
  • Travel up to 20% as project requirements dictate.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of overall professional IT experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience delivering large-scale enterprise data management projects.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on implementation experience with Riversand/Syndigo PIM.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience designing and maintaining enterprise data models.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience developing with Java/J2EE or a comparable object-oriented programming language.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with relational database technologies.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience delivering enterprise IT or consulting projects for multiple clients.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading technical project teams.
  • Minimum 2 years of business analysis experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing enterprise MDM architectures for large organizations.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and enterprise data quality practices.
  • Experience integrating MDM platforms with enterprise applications and third-party systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Consulting experience with multiple enterprise clients is considered a strong asset.
