Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment
- Room patients, obtain health history, check vital signs and perform EKG's
- Administer injections and collect specimens
- Document patient care using electronic medical record software
- Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, process medication refills, handle referrals, answer calls and complete paperwork as needed
- Assist physicians, nurse practitioners or physician assistants with minor, in-office procedures

Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical office, clinic or hospital setting AND Nationally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification from one of the following agencies: NAHP, NCCT, AAMA, AMT, NHA.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a Medical Assistant performing clinical back office duties including phlebotomy, injections, obtaining vital signs and recording medical history
- Experience with Epic EMR
