Role Overview

We are seeking a technically strong Microsoft 365 and SharePoint professional to support enterprise collaboration, governance, and lifecycle management solutions.

A significant portion of the role involves supporting governance and administration solutions within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. Prior experience with governance management platforms is beneficial but not required. Candidates with strong SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 experience who are willing to expand their expertise are encouraged to apply.

This is not primarily a software development role. However, candidates should be comfortable with technical configuration, APIs, scripting, automation, data analysis, and making targeted code or configuration changes when required.

  • Translate governance requirements into technical configurations and business processes.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot workflows, policies, integrations, and related Microsoft 365 services.
  • Support automated workspace provisioning, lifecycle management, ownership, permissions, and governance processes.
  • Act as a technical point of contact for ongoing enhancements and operational issues.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual governance and operational support processes.

Business Systems Analysis

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand processes, challenges, controls, and technical requirements.
  • Create user stories, functional specifications, process flows, technical requirements, and acceptance criteria.
  • Perform impact analysis for proposed configuration and product changes.
  • Collaborate with architects, administrators, vendors, support teams, and business stakeholders throughout the solution lifecycle.
  • Participate in testing, deployment planning, user acceptance testing, documentation, and production validation.
  • Investigate production issues using logs, APIs, reports, and diagnostic data.

Technical Integration and Automation

  • Utilize tools such as PowerShell, REST APIs, Microsoft Graph, Power Automate, Power BI, or similar technologies for automation, integration, troubleshooting, and reporting.
  • Read and understand API requests, API responses, JSON structures, authentication concepts, and integration patterns.
  • Develop scripts and lightweight automation solutions to streamline operational activities.
  • Work with Microsoft 365 and third-party platform data to support reporting and analysis.
  • Collaborate with development teams when more advanced custom solutions are required.

Governance, Security, and Compliance

  • Support governance processes covering workspace lifecycle management, permissions, ownership, information management, and external sharing.
  • Work with security, privacy, compliance, and architecture teams to ensure alignment with organizational standards.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, risk assessments, security reviews, change management, and SDLC processes.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, solution specifications, and support documentation.
