What You Will Do:
Modern Manufacturing Strategy & Architecture Alignment
- Align Earthmoving Modern Manufacturing initiatives to Caterpillar IT Modern Manufacturing architecture and enterprise platforms
- Partner with enterprise capability owners to drive consistent adoption of enterprise-defined solutions
Solution Architecture & Delivery Leadership
- Design scalable solutions integrating:
- MES (e.g., SAP ME)
- PLM/MES integration (Teamcenter Manufacturing)
- IIoT and data platforms
- Define architecture for cross-functional, multi-site initiatives
- Ensure compliance with enterprise standards, patterns, and governance
Technology Debt & Modernization Strategy
- Define and execute technology debt reduction roadmap across manufacturing IT systems aligning with Modern Manufacturing strategic solutions.
- Align remediation plans to CAPEX investment strategy and facility roadmaps
- Drive migration to standard platforms and integrated enterprise solutions
Manufacturing Facility Alignment & Scaling
- Translate facility priorities into enterprise-aligned solution architectures
- Ensure reuse of proven solutions across EMD sites
- Support development of facility digital manufacturing roadmaps
Cross-Segment Collaboration (CI Alignment)
- Collaborate across Construction Industries (CI), Earthmoving IT teams, Enterprise Modern Manufacturing & Digital Platform teams
- Define and enforce architecture patterns for manufacturing systems integration
- Promote standardization and scalability across facilities
- Mentor teams on:
- Architecture best practices
- Modern Manufacturing platforms
- Integration patterns and solution design
- Enable scaling of technical capabilities across EMD IT
What You Have:
- Experience in enterprise architecture and manufacturing systems integration
- Knowledge of Modern Manufacturing platforms and solution architectures
