Job Description

The Mortgage Project Specialist plays a key role in supporting the Wholesale team’s distribution growth by identifying, developing and implementing product and project initiatives that contribute to new and existing product and platform development. Individuals must exhibit strong analytical skills within their assessments, strong organizational/time management skills, and exceptional communication skills when interacting with all levels of employees within the company. Experience in reverse mortgage and senior lending space is preferred.

This role ensures team members have the knowledge, resources, and product to effectively provide high-quality product solutions to both LBF employees and our partners. This position is also responsible for managing and maintaining operational, technical and sales related policies and efficiencies within the Wholesale department by working closely with other departments.

The Mortgage Project Specialist aims to create and enhance the suite of product and project initiatives with clear guidance, structured development, and effective management.  Another main objective is to build product efficiencies and best practices which will improve and scale wholesale production.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Identify, develop and deliver product and platform development initiatives that contribute to Wholesale’s distribution and growth.
  • Support and collaborate cross-functional Wholesale initiatives and projects involving sales, marketing, capital markets, training, operations, underwriting and IT.
  • Represent and lead Wholesale project and product initiatives both internally and externally, when required.
  • Create and implement product, operational and technical efficiencies and policies to help improve overall loan submission pull through and performance.
  • Monitor, update, and maintain tools, resources, and documentation for the Wholesale team, including materials housed on the Partner Portal and other related internal sites.
  • Assist the SVP of WS & TPA and Wholesale managers with special projects, operational initiatives, and process-improvement efforts as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in general project management and product development
  • Certified Product Manager (CPM) a plus
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator (SCA) preferred
  • Preference having a working history with traditional mortgage loan origination systems such as Encompass (ICE), Calyx Point and BytePro
  • Proficiency with ReverseVision, QuantumReverse, Comergence, Figure, and ICE platforms, with the ability to quickly adapt to new software tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-demand work environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation paired with solid analytical capabilities.
  • Intermediate proficiency in core PC applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities with a focus on analysis and creative, solution-driven outcomes.

  • Target base salary range is 80 - 110K which is based on various factors including skills and work experience.
