What You Will Do: The Business Development Representative’s primary responsibility focuses on demand generation initiatives and creating pipeline for the Sales team. The Business Development Representative will utilize systems to evaluate intent and engagement from prospects to curate a prospecting list for the Sales team.

Core Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluate intent data to create prospect lists for outreach, which includes managing data and marketing lists
  • Creatively identify ways to reach the ideal partner profile (IPP) of MSPs & MSSPs with the objective of qualifying leads through third party sources
  • Plan and prioritize activities to meet assigned targets (e.g. # of prospects found, entries in Salesforce)
  • Achieve lead generation (contacts, leads) targets and objectives
  • Qualify incoming prospects and determine appropriate next steps
  • Establish and maintain effective contact with the potential and existing customer base through direct marketing (e.g., email nurture cadences)
  • Update and maintain accurate records in the customer relationship management system
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships cross-functionally (marketing, sales, CS, product)
  • Execute on other ad hoc marketing initiatives
  • Maintain detailed understanding of IRONSCALES email security solution and programs, allowing Acquisition Specialist to potentially educate clients on a high level
Requirements

What We Need from You:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • High technical acumen in regard to security software (Preferably Email Security & Training solutions)
  • Self-starter, creative problem-solver, and highly organized
  • Proven track record of success scheduling meetings preferably in the MSP/MSSP/Technology Space
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on relationship building
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills
  • Data-driven, efficient technology user, and metrics/KPIs focused
  • Fast learner with initiative and willingness to learn new things, test new techniques, and experiment
  • Excitement for and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, always changing environment

Business Development Representative will be working with the following tools:

  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software (Salesforce)
  • Marketing automation software (e.g., Hubspot, Marketo, Pardot, Salesloft, Outreach)
  • Intent data tools (e.g., Demandbase/Engagio, Zoominfo)
  • Software-as-a-service (SaaS) organization or start-up organization
