Position Description

As the National Account Manager for Safety, you will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives Nationally for our distribution partner, Grainger. Personal Protective Equipment is a key focus segment and is critical to our future growth and partnership with Grainger. You will be engaged will all levels of Sales, Supplier Management, Inventory Management and Marketing. The successful candidate possesses exemplary communication, time management, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.  Your exceptional planning skills, allow you to design a robust National plan that capitalizes on the engagement and success of our Jobsite solutions team, our new products, our promotional offerings, and our in-branch support teams. The ideal candidate will have experience working with National Accounts, working on the Personal Protective Equipment category and have demonstrated the ability to be a strong team player.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and implement annual sales plans for PPE with Grainger’s National Accounts and Government Accounts
  • Identify competitive PPE Conversion Opportunities and build programs to support alongside Jobsite Solutions
  • Work alongside and provide direction IC National TM Team and Jobsite Solutions group on Regional and National PPE initiatives
  • Coordinate with product/channel management to capitalize on current and future product offerings and ensure we are maximizing the accounts’ potential.
  • Support and collaborate on full year marketing and promotional campaign that aligns with customer’s expectations and goals as well as meeting company metrics.
  • Utilize CRM to track and measure field sales initiatives, including sales tracking and value-added services tracking
  • Create a National Strategy with Grainger’s Safety Specialist Team
  • Ensure accurate forecasts are entered with an emphasis on long term planning
  • Build New Product Buy Plans
  • Manage all PPE Customization opportunities and orders
  • Build PPE Training Program for Grainger Sales Team
  • Extensive communication with key stakeholders and influencers both internally and externally
  • Manage expenses and account activity to meet or exceed profit plan
  • Effectively utilize marketing resources for advertising coordination, promotional materials, and presentation materials.
  • Participate in regional sales meetings and trade shows representing the company and presenting products and programs.
  • Prepare and submit required monthly activity/update reports.
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and issues.
  • Other duties as required.

What You Will Bring

  • Minimum 7+ year’s successful sales/marketing experience dealing in the industrial channel to strategic or national account distributors.
  • Experience Selling and Managing Personal Protective Equipment category
  • Demonstrated track record of growing profitable sales.
  • University Degree
  • Highly literate in Microsoft Office products.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and organizational skills, including forecasting and planning.
  • Strong communication skills – written, verbal and excellent presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills.
  • Takes positive approach and has sense of urgency.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with internal resources.
  • Ability to Travel when needed
  • Requires a valid driver's license, clean driving record and passport
