Description:
C3EL is looking for an experienced and cleared Network Administrator to join our on-site team at Scott AFB in Illinois. This position supports the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Enterprise SATCOM Gateway Services (ESGS), providing worldwide 24/7/365 technical and operational support to tactical customers accessing DoD Gateway facilities.
(This role is considered "Mission Essential" and may require supporting rotating shift work, which includes nights and weekends.)
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Create and update tickets utilizing DISA ticketing applications to aid in customer problem tracking and resolution in all aspects of the network integral to our clients Baseband, IF and RF communications.
- Monitor network events and element management failures in real-time on a 24x7x365 basis.
- Perform IP network support to include configuration of routers, switches, firewalls and voice equipment.
- Perform IP satellite modem support to include configuration and issue of option/boot/RSP files.
- Remotely access and de-access customers into the IP/SATCOM networks
- Work with DoD SATCOM Gateway facilities and deployed operators to troubleshoot and resolve SATCOM and IP network issues.
- Verify equipment is operating in the baseline configuration.
- Remotely provide global equipment configurations at DoD SATCOM Gateways utilizing the Satellite Access Authorization (SAA) and Gateway Access Authorization (GAA).
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active, in-scope Secret clearance
- U.S. Citizenship
- 8570 IAT Level II certification (Sec+ CE or equivalent)
- A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience
- Ability to work in a 24/7 shift work environment
- Moderate IP/Networking experience including routers, switches, firewalls, routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP, RIP), VLANs, ACLs, and multicasting
- Working knowledge of voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) gateways, call managers, and telephony systems
- Working knowledge of satellite communications technology architectures
Desired Qualifications:
- CCNA/CCNP certifications
- Experience with iDirect/Linkway IP Modems
- Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of MILSATCOM earth terminal equipment (up/down converters, modems, high power amplifiers, etc.)
- Familiarity with the operation of encryption devices such as KG-250, KG-250x, KIV-7HS, KIV-7M, and KG-175
- Familiarity with trouble ticketing systems, troubleshooting methodologies, and service desk operations
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED is required
