Join Team BAE for an exciting opportunity supporting the High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP) providing cutting edge services and technology to this, and many other Supercomputers at the NAVY-DSRC.
The qualified candidate will provide multi-disciplinary support for a variety of network devices ranging from network switches, routers, and firewalls. As a BAE employee, you will be supporting the backbone for the Navy's world class supercomputing environment and High Performance Computing resources at the NAVY-DSRC.
As a BAE employee you will provide hands-on support for testing, development, and operational support for the entire NAVY-DSRC supporting advanced network solutions. These tasks will include:

Full-Time Salary Range: $79370 - $134929
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

- Maintain and administer computer networks for High-Performance Computing related environments.
- Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
- Monitor performance of computer systems and networks and provide recommendations to improve the network architecture.
- Design, configure, and test network hardware, networking software and firewall software.
- Analyze equipment performance records to determine the need for repair or replacement.
- Perform routine network startup and shutdown procedures and maintain control records.
- Maintain logs related to network functions, as well as maintenance and repair records.
- Maintain network and firewall configurations to STIG compliance.
- Maintain STIG checklists and other documentation.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree and minimum 4-7 years of progressive growth as a network administrator/engineer or equivalent experience.
- Hands on experience in networking, routing, switching, and firewall configuration.
- Excellent knowledge of management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure.
- Ability to maintain STIG configurations.
- Ability to set up, configure, and integrate complex network solutions.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies.
- Juniper, Arista, and/or Cisco certification.
