Job Description:
• Responsible for installing and maintaining all LAN/WAN voice and data infrastructure on classified and unclassified Cisco networks.
• This includes routers, switches, security and access devices.
• Additionally, the position is responsible for the following: assisting in the design and implementation of any core switches and routers and Cisco VoIP Unified Communications; assisting in LAN/WAN and Cisco wireless network related additions and changes.
• This includes all hardware and software issues and on-going administration of the corporate network.; implementing and managing aspects of physical and logical security; maintaining accurate records of all maintenance, inventory, and security measures using ITIL processes for voice and data networks; working with branch team members to assess and solve infrastructure challenges.
• This position provides network infrastructure support to setup, configure, modify, test, maintain, operate, and support Cisco switches and routers, Cisco permission management and administration.
Qualifications:
• Must have at least 5 years' experience.
• Expertise is required in Cisco products (ex. Routers, Switches and Firewalls).
• Experience working with carrier class MPLS services
• Excellent IP networking fundamentals and extensive experience in the application and troubleshooting of IP protocols.
• In-depth knowledge of and experience with major router platforms.
• Experience working with large-scale networks
• Excellent network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills.
• Candidates should also have had significant experience with, and expertise in many of the following protocols & technologies: VLANs/STP, IPv4 & IPv6, TCP (internals & flow control), BGP, OSPF, PIMv2, IGMP, LDP, IPSEC & VPNs, netflow, DNS, HTTP, SSL.
