New Car Sales Manager

Fields Volvo Northfield | $120,000+ Earning Potential

Fields Volvo Northfield is looking for an experienced New Car Sales Manager who knows how to lead, coach, hold a team accountable, and consistently produce results.

This is not a position for someone who simply wants a management title. We are looking for a proven automotive leader who understands how to desk and structure deals, manage gross and volume, develop Sales Consultants, drive CRM activity, and create an exceptional customer experience.

If you are currently a successful New Car Sales Manager, GSM, or experienced automotive leader looking for a better opportunity with a respected, family-owned organization, we want to hear from you.

Why Fields Volvo Northfield?

Fields Auto Group is family-owned and operated, and our culture is built around the Fields Five: Safety, Integrity, Courtesy, Presentation, and

Efficiency.

We believe our employees are our greatest asset. We invest in training, recognize strong performance, promote from within, and expect our leadership team to create an environment where talented people can succeed.

At Fields Volvo Northfield, you will have the opportunity to lead a sharp, dedicated sales team while representing a premium automotive brand and delivering the level of service our customers expect.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, coach, motivate, and hold the Sales Team accountable to performance standards
  • Desk and structure new-vehicle deals while protecting profitability
  • Work directly with Sales Consultants to improve closing ratios, gross profit, follow-up, and overall performance
  • Develop Sales Consultants through consistent coaching, training, and one-on-one accountability
  • Monitor CRM activity, lead follow-up, appointments, showroom traffic, and sales performance
  • Assist with negotiations and closing difficult or complex deals
  • Build strong relationships with customers and create repeat and referral business
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and address escalated customer concerns professionally
  • Conduct regular sales meetings, training, and lot walks
  • Work closely with the General Manager and leadership team to achieve departmental objectives
  • Ensure dealership processes and standards are consistently followed
  • Help create a positive, professional, competitive, and team-oriented sales environment

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a proven automotive professional, not someone simply looking to make the jump into management.

Qualified candidates should have:

  • Previous automotive dealership management experience, preferably as a New Car Sales Manager or GSM
  • A demonstrated history of achieving sales, gross profit, and customer satisfaction objectives
  • Strong knowledge of automotive deal structure, negotiations, and profitability
  • Proven ability to recruit, coach, develop, and retain Sales Consultants
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems, internet leads, follow-up, and sales processes
  • The ability to lead by example and hold others accountable
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • A professional presence and commitment to delivering a luxury customer experience
  • A strong reputation for integrity, professionalism, and teamwork
  • A clean and valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Willingness to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen

Experienced Sales Consultants with exceptional sales records and demonstrated leadership ability may also be considered.

What We Offer

  • $120,000+ earning potential, depending on experience and performance
  • Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance
  • Short- and Long-Term Disability
  • Paid Basic Life Insurance
  • 401(k) Plan
