TITLE:                   OBIEE Developer (2 DEVELOPERS NEEDED)

Location:             Downtown Chicago (550 W Adams)

Duration:             6+ Months

Rate:                    DOE

Interview:           1 step personal interview (flexible to Skype)


Top Three Skills:

1. Developer on at least 2 full OBIEE lifecycle implementations 
2. Experience in working directly with the clients to set up review sessions
3. Must be able to create, develop, and design reports & dashboards in OBIEE v 11

Job Description:

Currently looking for 2 senior level OBIEE developers. Currently building a repository from scratch and building new modules to merge with their existing repositories. This project will be making an impact to the organization as they are bringing the sales & profitability dashboard onto OBIEE.
Looking for candidates that have OBIEE application experience - NOT on the operations/infrastructure side. Candidates that have only worked on solutions that were out-of-the-box will also not do well. Need someone that has worked on custom solutions. Consultants will also be making a big impact on the business and working directly with the stakeholders. Will be setting up review sessions and will be client facing.

Additional Information:

•Work closely with business customers to translate business requirements into technical functionality
•Perform project management of development efforts, by successfully planning and executing 5,000 – 10,000 person hour efforts
•Forecast resources for 3 to 6 months for approximately 5 to 7 resources
•Develop the vision and roadmap to meet current and future customer needs
•Develop the team and effectively deliver the right amount of praise and feedback 
•Work effectively across the IT organization to implement solutions in a timely manner 
•Clearly communicate the interests and concerns of others to find common ground, get cooperation, and drive to agreement 
•Take full responsibility for the team’s delivery to the business and customers
•Demonstrate a sense of urgency, focusing on and driving critical issues to closure 
•View difficult situations / problems as opportunities for improvement, learning from experiences to move forward 
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems or related field required 
· Minimum of 3 years of experience leading technical resources 
· Has 4 years or more of experience in BI technologies, with at least 2 years in OBIEE 
· Full lifecycle OBIEE implementation experience required 
· Strong skills in both OBIEE repository and report architecture/development 
· Excellent analytical, problem solving, project management, interpersonal & communication skills 
· Demonstrated customer facing skills that foster a ‘trusted advisor’ relationship with business 
· Strong leadership skills and ability to use informal power / influencing ability towards healthy and productive outcomes 
· Ability to manage all types of project resources (ie, employees, vendors, consultants) 
· Full knowledge of systems lifecycle development methodologies; agile experience preferred 
· Experience with Oracle and SQL Server databases preferred 
· Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services is a plus 
· Experience with other reporting and analytics solutions is a plus

Non-Technical Skills:

Very important - must have proven track record of working directly with stakeholders and presentation skills

Duration: 6 months plus

Hire Type: Contract: 1099 or W2
