We’re looking for an Operations Associate to join our team! This role reports directly to the Operations Manager on the Corrections team and is part of our 60-person Operations organization, which includes Corrections, Client Operations, Annual Compliance Operations, Data Reconciliation, and Client Transition Operations. As an Operations Associate, you will play a key role in supporting behind-the-scenes servicing to ensure a seamless experience for our clients. You’ll help scale our operational workflows through process improvements, data analysis, and automation, leveraging data tools to create an efficient, scalable servicing model. What You Will Work On
  • Develop scalable processes to drive efficiency as the business grows
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address customer questions and support active operational projects
  • Collect and refine best practice recommendations, and continuously look for ways to improve processes, internal tools, and external product features
  • Investigate errors to determine the cause of client issues and recommend corrective actions
  • Assist the Operations team in maintaining and updating tools, systems, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Contribute to company-wide projects, such as account reconciliation and plan compliance
  • Enhance plan compliance by facilitating corrective actions in accordance with rules and regulations
  • Provide internal support and become proficient in Guideline’s core platform and workflows
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed
What We're Looking For
  • A results-driven individual who takes ownership and works backward from outcomes to deliver results in a fast-paced environment, effectively prioritizing scope, quality, time, and resources
  • Someone who is process-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Someone passionate about leveraging technology to improve processes and outcomes
  • A natural curiosity with a problem-solving mindset, always asking "why" to drive better solutions
  • A systems thinker with the ability to analyze and learn complex systems
  • A person with technical proficiency in Excel, G-suite, SQL, and Salesforce
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including proficiency with VLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH and, pivot tables
  • Experience with basic data and analytics tools, including BigQuery, Looker, Tableau, and Data Studio
  • A team player who is comfortable engaging with different teams and stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience and deep understanding of 401(k) rules and regulations pertaining to corrections, testing and limits
  • Client-facing experience, with the ability to deescalate challenging situations and find mutually agreeable solutions
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required

At Guideline, we believe compensation should be fair and equitable. We take a data-driven approach to set our compensation bands; the successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and work location. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

  • Metro+:
    The base salary range for this position is $74,000 - $86,500 annually.
  • Metro:
    The base salary range for this position is $71,500 - $84,000 annually.
  • National: 
    The base salary range for this position is $71,500 - $84,000 annually.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible to receive equity in the form of Incentive Stock Options (ISOs).
