Location: Lisle, IL (Onsite Only)
Compensation: $65,000 – $75,000 annually (DOE) + Benefits

Established in 1986, ITG continues to grow as an industry-leading transportation services provider. We are experts in the Full Container Drayage market and facilitate container transport throughout the United States. Our staff draws upon decades of experience working with shippers, steamship lines, NVOCCs, and freight forwarders to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

The Role

We are seeking an Operations Specialist to join our Lisle, IL office. This role reports directly to the Assistant Operations Managers and supports the coordination and dispatch of ocean container shipments throughout the U.S. The position is 100% in-office with no remote or hybrid options.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Assistant Operations Managers with daily operational execution.
  • Dispatch import and export ocean containers across the U.S.
  • Maintain daily communication with customers and carriers to ensure service excellence.
  • Handle shipment data entry, rail billing, and rating accuracy.
  • Manage high volumes of emails and phone calls in a professional, timely manner.
  • Support KPI and metric achievement for the operations team.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in the transportation, logistics, or drayage industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook; CargoWise experience a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, trainable, and motivated to succeed.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $65,000 – $75,000 annually, depending on experience.
  • Benefits package: Health, dental, and vision insurance; company-paid life insurance; and 401(k) with employer match.
  • Paid time off, holidays, and ongoing professional training.
