Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. PSLD is responsible for the worldwide distribution of Cat aftermarket parts, integrated logistics, and global service to develop and support our global dealer network and customers.
The Operations Support Analyst will assist with the IT function by ensuring that the business can meet their initiatives.

What You Will Do:
  • Assist the IT function with projects that include implementation, development and integration of technologies within the organizational structure.
  • Track and record technology development needs.
  • Collect and analyze information on technology products
  • Assist in testing and evaluating technologies with guidance.
  • Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time-to-time.

What You Have (Basic Requirements):
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Administration, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  • Business Process Improvement: Knowledge of business process improvement best practices and ability to use methods for identifying, evaluating, introducing and implementing more efficient approaches to performing business related activities.
  • Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Knowledge of established standard operating procedures (SOP); ability to design, implement and evaluate standard operating procedures affecting daily and strategic business operations in order to increase operational efficiency.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Application Delivery Process: Knowledge of major tasks, deliverables, and formal application delivery methodologies; ability to utilize these in order to deliver new or enhanced applications.
  • IT Environment: Knowledge of an organization's IT purposes and activities; ability to create an effective IT environment for business operations.
  • IT Standards, Procedures & Policies: Knowledge of Information Technology (IT) standards and policies; ability to utilize a variety of administrative skill sets and technical knowledge to manage organizational IT policies, standards, and procedures.

Summary Pay Range:
$28.70 - $43.10
