About the Role

As an Operations Support Specialist, you’ll help keep the systems, tools, and workflows that power Cro Metrics running smoothly. This role blends operational excellence with emerging technical skills: supporting onboarding and access management, maintaining internal systems, resolving help desk requests, and contributing to automations and internal tooling that improve efficiency across the company.

You’ll collaborate closely with our Product Engineering team and stakeholders across the organization to translate operational needs into scalable solutions. This role is well-suited for talented individuals early on in their software engineering career who want to apply their emerging technical skills in a real operational environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver accurate operational work products, including audits, reports, user access updates, and equipment management.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding workflows across Google Workspace, Jira, Slack, HubSpot, and other internal systems.
  • Provide responsive support through our help desk and partner with teams to understand their operational needs.
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering on Jira configuration, workflow improvements, and internal tooling updates.
  • Build and maintain automations or integrations using Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, PHP, SQL, or no-code/low-code tools.
  • Troubleshoot system and workflow issues, identify root causes, and implement durable, scalable solutions.
  • Continuously refine documentation, processes, and internal tooling to reduce friction and improve operational efficiency.
What Makes a Great Candidate
  • 1–4 years of experience in technical operations, IT support, systems administration, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with coding, SQL, automations, and AI-assisted development tools.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical teammates.
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable balancing recurring operational tasks with technical project work.
  • Curious, proactive, and motivated to grow technically while supporting business-critical operations.
  • Plus: Familiarity with Google Workspace, Jira, Slack, HubSpot, or similar platforms.
What Motivates You
  • You enjoy making complex systems work smoothly and love being the person others rely on to keep things running.
  • You're energized by discovering inefficiencies and designing solutions that make teams more effective.
  • You get satisfaction from blending technical problem-solving with hands-on operational impact.
  • You thrive in environments where you can grow your engineering skills while contributing directly to organizational stability and scalability.
  • You value partnerships across teams and take pride in ensuring others have what they need to succeed.
  • You're excited about exploring and pushing the boundaries of AI tools, and using them to accelerate and unlock new ways to solve challenges.
Compensation

We’re hiring for the Operations Support Specialist role, with a compensation range of $60,000–$85,000. Final compensation will be determined through the interview process.

Important Note: Cro Metrics is a U.S.-based remote company and is not able to hire in CA, AK, WA, OR, HI, NY, or NJ, or outside of the United States.
