What you will be doing:
As an Advisory Services Consultant, you will be responsible for managing consulting projects that enable health systems to improve their utilization of medical devices and drugs using clinical evidence. You will partner closely with a cross-functional team of Lumere’s medical device and pharmaceutical experts, analysts, and account managers to improve our clients’ clinical outcomes and financial health. 

The successful candidate is a collaborative, energetic problem solver with a passion for transforming the current healthcare system. They should have a proven track record of managing strategic and operational projects, with a focus on driving both business impact and client satisfaction. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage multiple Lumere consulting engagements in parallel, end-to-end, including:
    • Finalize project scope with clients
    • Create and manage workplan and milestones
    • Identify client stakeholders and lead engagement (with support from account managers)
    • Own all client deliverables, coordinating with Lumere’s internal experts and analytical resources as needed
    • Ensure each client’s business objectives are met
    • Ensure Lumere’s project objectives are met (e.g., project within budget, delivered on time, with high client satisfaction)
  • Shape Lumere’s Advisory Services engagement model by developing high impact, reusable templates and tools
  • Become knowledgeable on common client support topics, including:
    • Hospital value analysis and strategic sourcing processes 
    • Using purchasing and EHR analytics for decision support
    • Care redesign and clinical variation reduction
  • As needed, serve as a liaison to Lumere’s sales, marketing, and product teams to improve our client engagement model
  • Serve as a positive, energetic role model for more junior staff members by demonstrating and celebrating Lumere’s impact and values

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience in healthcare technology and/or management consulting, with a track record of leading projects with high business impact and client engagement
  • Bachelor’s degree; science or healthcare focus preferred
  • Experience engaging with and delivering value to VP/executive-level stakeholders
  • Distinctive problem solving and project management skills, including attention to detail
  • Excellent ability to self-manage and prioritize
  • Comfort with ambiguity and fast-paced environments; excitement to lead change
  • “One team” mentality -- excited to work in a highly collaborative, learning-focused organization
  • Ability to travel to client sites as necessary (approx. 20-30% travel)
