Director, Global Real Estate Workplace Strategies and Transformation
Job Description
This key role within the Nielsen Connect Global Real Estate & Facilities Team will oversee development and implementation of Workplace Strategies, Transformation and Space Analytics. This role will report to the VP of Global Real Estate and Facilities.
In this role, you will be an integral member of the Real Estate organization and will work with other pillars within the Global Real Estate Organization, as well as with Business Units, Finance, Legal, and other groups.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement Workplace Strategies globally to optimize and evolve the portfolio
Align workplace strategies with corporate objectives and demonstrate progress towards objectives
Set up, assemble and report metrics to inform Real Estate strategy and space optimization opportunities
Help craft and execute Real Estate strategy globally
Identify and roll out best practices to optimize space, including on-site and off-site solutions
Select and oversee the implementation of a CAFM system and ensure data maintenance at major sites
Contribute to M&A strategy, Real Estate strategy, portfolio optimization and site selection processes
Measure and contribute to cost savings and avoidance targets
Identify, benchmark and measure our performance against internal and external best-in-class key metrics
Build healthy relationships with stakeholders and ensure alignment of portfolio strategies with the Business
Provide inputs for annual budget preparation and forward-looking planning
Manage and execute move planning
Employ recognized change management techniques and processes throughout execution of responsibilities

A little about you
Deep experience in developing and implementing Real Estate and Workplace strategies, site selection, lease negotiations, achieving consensus and securing buy-in, execution plans, change management, space planning and project management
Willingness to have a hands-on approach
Cross-cultural relationship building skills
Proven ability to lead by influence
Ability to effectively operate within a global matrixed organization
Excellent communication skills, plus strong presentation and negotiation skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to organize, manage and track large and varied sets of data
Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as required
Flexibility with varied work hours (due to global nature of the role)
Qualifications
10+ years of relevant experience
University degree in real estate, business or equivalent relevant experience
Strong Excel skills and analytical capabilities
Experienced in setting up and managing a CAFM system and related processes
Excellent oral and written communication skills with additional language skills an asset
CAD skills (highly beneficial)
