Job Summary

This role will lead a team of IT professionals with a compilation of organizational proficiencies. The team drives harmonization activities in areas of strategic significance to the OneIT organization, including, but not exclusive to, reporting, skills-resource-capacity-planning, strategic process & strategic service transformation management.
In addition, other activities, may at times fall under the accountabilities of this role that are vital for a successful, consistent and secure technology operation across the businesses.
The initial year(s) of the role will include a very strong focus on change management, working closely with the technology leads in the Support Services organization, the emerging Platform teams and setting up a best-in-class ‘business of IT’ function in support of the technology leaders across operational business divisions.
The leader in this role will be passionate, bold and possess exceptional leadership skills.
Outcomes directed have a significant impact on the organization's medium- and long-term results, specific customers and/or partners.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides counsel in the development of KPI reporting, and all major reporting items including but not limited to Sales Meeting report, Performance Scorecards, Performance reporting, etc.
  • Contributes to medium and long-term strategic optimization of the technology operations of OneIT by:
    • proactively and continuously monitoring and influencing the optimization of value and business benefit of technology services to the operational businesses.
    • highlighting optimization potential and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • In close partnership with the OneIT HR Leadership and local HR resources, this role manages resources which support the assessment and identification of technical skills, and co-ordinates delivery of technical/IT-functional learning and development programs that enable the OneIT International organization to achieve its objectives.
  • Partners with HR, Communications, and the IT leadership team to update, align and execute internal communication plans for the OneIT organization.
  • In close partnership with peers and the OneIT Finance team, evangelizes, evolves, and co-ordinates strategic reporting against key performance indicators, develops and monitors key critical metrics across the teams to track accomplishment of strategic goals and landmarks.
  • Applies broad knowledge of product/service capabilities and environment to identify new growth areas, new technology and emerging product/service opportunities. Conducts technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects. Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
  • Implements policies and defines approach to strategy achievement for specified area of responsibility. Analyzes long-term impact of new or anticipated strategies and decisions.
  • Manages budgets, operational plans and performance requirements for the specified are of responsibility. Responsible for meeting budgetary goals and objectives.
  • Facilitates communication between staff, management, vendors, and other technology resources within and outside of the organization. Shares highly complex information related to areas of expertise. Interacts with senior management to keep abreast of objectives.  Interacts with direct reports and peers in management / customers / vendors to interpret information and improve cross-functional processes and programs. Builds and enhances key internal and external contacts.

External Basic Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of experience in IT, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Consulting, Strategy, Project/Program Management and/or Analytics OR a High School diploma/GED and at least 11 years of experience in IT, Engineering Accounting, Finance, Consulting, Strategy, Project/Program Management and/or Analytics.
  • Experience developing and preparing strategic reports based upon key performance indicators and other business metrics.
  • Experience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community & with vendors.
  • Experience diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems
  • Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
  • Experience managing cross-functional and/or matrix teams.
  • Experience interacting at the executive level.
  • Experience working as a change agent leading transformational initiatives in organizations.
  • Experience developing and presenting concepts, plans and status to both senior managers (up to CIO-level) and technical staff
  • At least 4 years of experience planning, developing, and managing departmental expense and capital budgets.
  • At least 4 years of experience directly or indirectly managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people as they work, in an international and multi-cultural environment and has led major transformations in organizational process, technology and performance.
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes, primarily across Europe and the UK, occasionally to other countries including the USA.
     

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field and/or an advanced degree (MBA, MCS).
