What’s the Role?

The Disbursement Specialist (DS) will aid borrowers as the main point of contact for renovation disbursements on agency renovation products.

The Disbursement Specialist will be responsible for delivering world class customer service to both internal and external customers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• The DS is the primary contact for borrowers, contractors & inspectors.
• Assigned pipeline can range from 75-100 rolling projects.
• Review and approve draw documentation submitted by contractors & borrowers.
• Communicate effectively to government inspector and local building departments.
• Track and manage assigned pipeline for aged or stalled projects.
• Assist borrowers and contractors with disputes and unforeseen issues.
• Utilize renovation software to track and manage assigned projects
• Provide assistance to the POD as needed

Job Specifications

Knowledge:

• 1+ years Mortgage Operations experience
• Experience with Microsoft software (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
• High level phone skills interacting with frustrated or emotional parties
• High level ability to learn proper usage of computer software to manage assigned work

Skills and Abilities:

• The Disbursement Specialist is thorough, dependable, well-organized, and must be able to work in a fast-paced, challenging, and dynamic environment.
