The Dispatch Coordinator is responsible for the logistical processing of technical support requests. This includes coordinating with vendors, technical support staff, billing representatives, as well as parts and shipping clerks.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, but are not limited to:
- Respond to service requests, prioritize work orders, schedule installations, and task assignments to field technicians to ensure the on-time delivery of services
- Create service tickets utilizing our ticketing system and schedule technicians to perform a variety of telephony (telecommunication) tasks
- Direct Field Network Engineers with written service requests and verbal instructions, detailing work that needs to be accomplished
- Verify scheduled work orders and ensure that they are ready for dispatch
- Monitor work order status and adjust assignments throughout the shift; inform and update technicians on schedule changes
- Call customers to seek approval to dispatch Field Network Engineers for a range of telecom issues
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Desire to operate in a fast-paced environment with an outgoing personality, high initiative level, and ability to be quick on your feet
- Ability to work well under pressure and demonstrate excellent time management skills
- Excellent multi-tasking skills – must be able to navigate phone and computer systems while on calls
- Superior verbal and written communication skills - must be an excellent telephone communicator
- Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality customer service
- Must be adept in use of Internet and email
- Demonstrated ability to perform duties in an efficient, professional and courteous manner with a high attention to detail and accuracy
- Must have reliable transportation
- Maintain regular consistent, punctual, and professional attendance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of basic help desk, trouble-shooting, voice/data cabling or telecom skills
- Working knowledge of Word and Excel
- Experience in handling a high-call volume
