EMR Manager - REMOTE
EMR Managers at VillageMD own our end users’ success in leveraging the EMR to drive outcomes. They lead a team of EMR Analysts in organizing and delivering an optimized EMR experience for onboarding providers through optimization of build and training. EMR Managers function as a subject-matter expert in translating organizational goals and strategies into real-world, well-adopted EMR workflows and content.
What are examples of work that EMR Managers have done at VillageMD?
- Collaborate with new practices, departments, and specialties to design, build, and optimize EMR workflow
- Partnered with our operations team to design documentation templates that for better AWV documentation and capture
- Assist providers in learning and exceling with athena through organizing and delivering provider training and at-elbow support

What you might do in your first year
- Guide new providers in learning the EMR
- Manage a team of EMR analysts; drive the team to deliver a high-quality end user experience through consistent build and onboarding
- Collaborate with our engineering team to identify integration strategic points between our proprietary technology and the EMR
- Implement new processes to manage inflow and execution of issues and new build
- Travel up to 25% of the time to our new clinics to help stand up EMRs and train new teams of providers
The following experience is relevant to us:
- 6+ years of full-time experience leading projects in the EMR space, from initial implementation through the full life cycle.
- 4+ years’ experience managing a team of direct reports
- Provider training or program design experience desired
- Preferred experience with data including advanced Excel and basic SQL skills and an understanding of healthcare data exchange standards (HL7, FHIR, CCDAs, etc)
- Track record of successfully executing projects with multiple dependencies and stakeholders
