Endpoint Security Administrator
Summary
The Endpoint Security Administration’s primary responsibility will be the administration of McAfee ePO in a 5000+ user environment. This Administrator will ensure various McAfee utilities are kept up to date for Windows, Mac, Windows Servers and Linux Servers. This Administrator will collaborate with the SCCM Administrator, Server Administrators, and the Field Support Team to remediate all failed updates and troubleshoot any application incompatibilities.
Secondarily, this role will assist the Level 3 end-user support team with AD account administration and respond to ServiceNow requests for support. This Engineer will respond to the server, storage and endpoint security notifications, update or close trouble tickets and document root cause where applicable.
This Endpoint Security Administrator will report to the Data Center Manager, interface with an off-site operations center and will work closely with other members of the technology department to support all technology at our client’s sites.
Responsibilities
- Perform day to day administration of McAfee ePO and the following utilities: Endpoint, McAfee agent, Virus Scan for Macs, Drive Encryption, DXL Client and Solidcore.
- Experience conducting ePO version upgrades
- Remediation of failed updates
- Troubleshooting of potential application incompatibilities with McAfee
- Endpoint troubleshooting using RDP
- Day to day administration of AD accounts per the ticket queue
- Documentation of procedures to conduct endpoint updates and incident remediation
- Document issue resolution using the ITSM system
- Submit Request for Change forms when needed. Participate in Change Advisory Board meetings.
- Install and configure the software as requested
- Maintain excellent communication with all end-users and other members of the technology department
- Assist other team members in executing various project tasks
Requirements
- Five or more years of experience in the administration of McAfee ePO in a 5000+, multi-domain user environment
- Hands-on experience with the following utilities: McAfee Agent/Endpoint, VirusScan for Mac, Drive Encryption, Bitlocker, DXL, Deep Freeze and Solidcore
- Five years of experience in basic AD account administration and user support
- Experience operating in a PCI environment is preferred
- McAfee or related certifications a plus
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices
- Industry knowledge of endpoint security trends and best practices
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support
- Must have excellent customer service, written communication, and interpersonal skills
- Driver’s license required
- Experience using an ITSM system, ServiceNow a plus
