We are looking for a senior level sales professional to join Groupon’s Enterprise Sales team as an Enterprise Relationship Manager to grow existing partnerships with the largest and most complex merchants on our platform. This position requires a consultative client facing approach at building strategic relationships with national Fortune 500 companies. The candidate must have a successful track record of delivering significant revenue and margin growth with complex enterprise level accounts.

The Enterprise Relationship Manager will be an action and results-oriented leader with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals in a fast paced, high growth, online business. This role is responsible for developing and maximizing growth of mega accounts, selling a suite of products including paid media.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of the most complex accounts on the Groupon platform
  • Build strong relationships with all key Merchant stakeholders - including marketing, sales, finance and operations organizations.  Ability to effectively manage and present to senior level executives
  • Influence many different decision-makers, including all executives who manage marketing and advertising budgets; Determine the role each decision-maker plays, calculates his/her relative importance and influence and maintains the relationship throughout the sales process
  • Serves as the point of contact for escalation
  • Develop and execute strategic growth plans with accounts including cross-selling of multiple Groupon products  
  • Develops and shares insights with internal Groupon teams that will help drive  enhanced merchant and customer experiences
  • Serves as a trusted adviser, shares insights and marketing recommendations
  • Develops a deep understanding of the merchants’ industry, specific company business targets & strategy, processes, value chain and key business drivers
  • Executes merchant communications strategy to ensure service needs are met and drives continued engagement with Groupon, driving their retention and loyalty
  • Focuses on the Groupon deliverable (scope of products, solutions and services) according to merchant and market needs
  • Develop account level merchandising strategies inclusive of media sales and site monetization
  • Prepares and monitors budgets and forecasts
  • Continuously updates account plans, including forecasting metrics in Salesforce
  • Ensures the seamless handover to Operations for aspects of deal execution, launch and close
  • Achieves business KPIs as defined by Sales and Revenue Management
  • Enterprise account executives liaise with marketing and product development teams to coordinate programs that will build business with key customers
  • Work with product development teams to create new products and customize or improve existing products to meet the needs of key accounts

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or other related field
  • Minimum of 3 years key account management, senior-level sales and/or business management experience
  • Proficiency with Salesforce.com, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Track record of account retention and growth with success in achieving revenue targets
  • Proven account management, upselling / cross-selling, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong decision-making skills, sales instincts and sound judgment
  • Intellectual agility and creativity to respond to changing demands and create new solutions
  • Strong negotiation and relationship building skills with a high degree of professionalism and poise
  • A commitment to exceptional service and delivery
  • Demonstrated business acumen in balancing merchant and business requirements (i.e., financial, strategic & tactical thinking)
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and successfully in a matrixed organization
  • Organization and time management skills to succeed in a fast paced environment
  • Consultative sales, consulting, or relevant
  • Digital marketing knowledge base, understanding of key industry marketing practices (email, mobile, display, SEO/SEM, social media)
  • Experience in relationship management speaking to C-level professionals
  • Proven history of overachieving quota and driving results in a high-growth company environment
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical and forecasting skills
  • Possess deep relationships with senior sales leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to find, manage and close high-level business sales
  • Ability to gather and use data to inform decision making and persuade others
