SPINS, a Chicago-based SaaS company, is seeking to add a Grocery Retail Onboarding Manager to its team.

WHAT DO WE NEED?

The Grocery Retail Onboarding Manager will interact with new clients, providing customer service, communication and project management as we bring the new client on board. This individual will manage expectations aligned to an on-boarding timeline both internally and externally, generate personalized external communications and coordinate deliverables to the retailer from a cross-functional team. The Grocery Retail Onboarding Manager will also be expected to understand the needs and design innovative ways to add value to retailers during the early stages of their interaction with SPINS. 

YOU PROBABLY HAVE... 

You'll have some experience with grocery retail (either product manufacturers or direct interaction with retailers). Your attention to detail and project management expertise will be essential, as well as the ability to deliver best in class customer service as a 'concierge' to our new clients. You're a professional capable of working closely with our customers, senior executives, technology, sales and product management.

WE'LL BE COUNTING ON YOU FOR: 

Retail Onboarding: You'll act as a concierge to our new clients to make their first experience with SPINS positive and valuable, through managing and contributing improvements to a retailer onboarding timeline, including all key tasks, while keeping the timeline updated and organized. You'll communicate directly with our retail clients to deliver value from point of signature and generate email campaigns in conjunction with the SPINS marketing team. In addition, you'll manage cross-functional resources to provide key deliverables on time.

Product & Brand Leadership: You will coordinate with the product team to resolve outstanding issues, evangelize the SPINS mission, and provide leadership to resolve product, quality or availability problems.

Research: You'll have the ability to anticipate which insights resulting from research may be compelling to our retail partners.

As the Grocery Retail Onboarding Manager, you'll cultivate an understanding of the Natural, Specialty and Gourmet retail landscape while living in the SPINS values. Working with Sales and Marketing communications, you'll understand customer purchase process and usage patterns. In addition, you will clearly identify the problem(s) products solve and sustainable competitive advantage. Finally, you'll be expected to establish, build and develop relationships with business partners.

Working hours and times will fluctuate based on business needs and this role will require the ability to perform in a high demand environment.

YOU PROBABLY HAVE... 

  • BS/BA Degree in marketing, management (or related degree)
  • 5+ years of experience working at a retailer, distributor, or brand
  • 3+ years of direct client communication
  • 3+ years of project management experience
  • Excellent analytical, planning, project management and process development skills
  • Superior communication (written and oral) and teamwork skills
  • Experience and knowledge of various communication tools and media
  • High level of initiative and strong business judgment and creative problem solver
  • Ability to adjust to constantly changing priorities and fast-paced technology environment
  • Proficiency with MS Office products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
