Mission for the position

As Leap’s first Implementation Specialist, you’ll help build the foundation of a scalable technology platform. You’ll work with our internal Account Management, Engineering, and Product teams, and you’ll work directly with Leap’s brands. You know that the soul of a great platform is simple, standard, and easy-to-understand data integration.

As a business partner, you’ll analyze each brand and find out what’s unique about them. You’ll educate them on Leap’s platform capabilities, and provide guidance on how they can leverage Leap to build awesome omnichannel experiences for their shoppers. Your deep understanding of how commerce or Saas apps “talk to each other” means you can create concise solutions to seemingly complicated problems.

What makes you great for this position is your track record of solving purportedly unsolvable puzzles. You have a background of talking directly to clients/customers and feeling their pain points. You also have a background working with technology teams, and feeling their pain points. This makes you uniquely qualified to help all of them engineer simple, effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • You'll talk to some of the most exciting brands in the world as they prepare to use the Leap platform to launch modern retail stores. You’ll listen to them and learn how their businesses operate--from a high level all the way down to how their tools are configured. As our internal expert on brand integrations you’ll help them to understand how best to utilize our platform capabilities in service of their desired use case(s).
  • You’ll consult with these brands as they arrange their own systems to prepare for integrating with a new sales channel – their new Powered by Leap store. You’ll pair your knowledge of DTC systems with your deep understanding of Leap’s platform, allowing you to answer questions about configurations and capabilities in a way that gives brands confidence in our platform.
  • You’ll work with our Customer Success, Support, Retail Operations, and Engineering teams to project manage each new store on our platform, owning its technical success, and configuring connections between systems through which thousands of sales might flow each day.
  • You’ll sit with Leap’s engineering and product teams, and stay up to date on our platform’s current and planned capabilities. To our Account Management and Customer Success teams, you’re an expert they can consult when they have questions about these capabilities.

What You'll Do:

  • Evaluate brand customer needs and define Leap platform configurations and implementation plans
  • Execute configuration and implementation plans, and test and troubleshoot final platform setups
  • Provide training and brand customer support during and after the implementation process

Additionally, you will:

  • Actively maintain a deep understanding of what tools are in use by DTC brands
  • Actively maintain a deep understanding of how our existing brands use Leap
  • Teach good software integration patterns, and discourage bad ones
  • Have fun and work with a growing, optimistic, energetic startup team
  • Be encouraging, supportive, kind, fun, sensitive, honest, a great teacher, and above all, a great student

Our Ideal Candidate Has:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Curiosity, energy, and a sense of humor

Outcomes & Measurements of Success:
