Primary Responsibilities

The Logistics Coordinator position is a key role supporting our strategic vision to be the preferred supply chain partner in the specialty, natural & organic, and fresh market place in North America.  Reporting to the Supplier Performance Manager, the responsibilities of the Logistics Coordinator include handling unloading discrepancy reports (UDR), vendor recalls, and vendor returns.  The Logistics Coordinator will work cross-functionally with members of supply chain, warehouse operations, transportation, accounts payable, customer care, and vendor brokers. This position offers the ability to work 100% Remote, even after corporate offices re-open. 

Essential Functions

  • Manage Unloading Discrepancy Reports (UDR) by working closely with warehouse operations to make sure all issues are logged and handled correctly.
  • Coordinate disposition of UDRs with Supply Planners.
  • Ability to work with vendors on getting timely resolutions on all UDRs.
  • Work with transportation to determine freight claim issues if needed.
  • Partner with warehouse operations to conduct audits of UDR area.
  • Analyze data to determine repayment request from accounts payable.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to reduce UDRs.
  • Ability to discuss issues with vendors to determine causes of UDRs and how to address.
  • Process and monitor all vendor returns in a timely manner.
  • Manage all vendor recalls and address accordingly.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

  • Associate degree or higher preferred.
  • Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with focus on advanced Excel skills and analysis. Ability to manipulate and manage large volumes of data.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Experience with Google Docs highly desired.
  • Self-starter with ability to effectively operate under pressure and manage a wide variety of tasks and priorities.
