Could this be you?

This individual will be accountable for contributing to successful payor partnerships through support of the development and execution of agreements that advance the VMD business model. With an eye for detail, you will be able to critique contracts and categorize terms, while understanding conflicting issues and problematic language, to support negotiation discussions.

How you can make a difference

• Support the VillageMD contracting team through the negotiation of complex, value-based payor agreements
• Determine who are the market payers, what is their market share, and prepare background information on the payors in effort to support the negotiation
• Support contracting activity by accurately documenting status and deliverables
• Load and maintain contract management system to inform business functions of contract terms
• Assimilate contract terms in a simple manner to inform market and functional leaders of any contractual obligations
• Maintain executed contracts as directed by legal
• Maintain accurate product level information for contracted payors in assigned markets
• Communicate contract terms to appropriate VillageMD market operational teams
• Support management of provider risk pool settlements
• Support preparation for Joint Operating Committees (JOCs) in partnership with market and functional leaders
• Manage risk adjustment methodologies and financial impact for commercial and Medicare Advantage populations
• Understand medical cost trends that drive gains and losses across risk pools
• Validate VillageMD providers are loaded appropriately through payer online portals or other directory services
• Support VillageMD success by completing any required tasks as assigned

• Ability to build meaningful relationships across the organization including exercising discretion and maintaining confidentiality with sensitive matters
• Must be proactive with strong personal initiative as well as highly organized and detail oriented
• Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to anticipate needs will be integral to success in this role
• Ability to navigate within ambiguity, a service orientation, and a high level of humility are all requirements for successful assimilation into our highly collaborative, entrepreneurial culture
• Ability to successfully navigate customer relationship software (i.e. Salesforce)
• Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Powerpoint)

Experience to drive change

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• A passion for healthcare administration and value-based care
• Ability to multi-task, independently manage time, and be detail oriented
• Advanced knowledge of programs/systems including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Concur
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in order to effectively communicate with internal and external high-level executives and markets
• Proven project management skills evidenced by the ability to effectively coordinate multiple vendors and resources, internal and external client relationships
• Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and deliver quality outcomes while effectively managing multiple competing priorities
• Previous, external client interface and relationship management strongly preferred
• Hands on approach and expert command of details
• Excellent interpersonal communication and critical problem-solving skills
