The role
The Senior Director of Consulting Practice Leadership at Kin + Carta is first a servant leader to our practice Kin (employees). This role drives the foundation and framework of our practice teams and ensuring alignment of the practice platform across each group and territory. The primary role is to work with and coach our Practice leadership teams to enable them to orchestrate, integrate and grow the employee value proposition of their practice while establish the ways of working together. This role is at the intersection of people, process and technology to ensure we are building an efficient framework for talent acquisition and development, alignment with service lines and sales and establishing delivery standardization with quality for all of our project work in collaboration with our America’s leadership team.
Role responsibilities
- Provide people leadership, mentorship, career coaching, growth advice, talent & skill development and a culture for our practice leadership team..
- Ensure the practice leadership is driving billable work, expanding the practice’s impact on client teams, bringing lessons learned and maturing our practices, while building key client stakeholder relationships and supporting the growth of client accounts.
- Ensure all practices are driving their voice of the practice to the market through participation in support of marketing and industry events, campaigns or sales pursuits.
- Drive alignment between the service line leadership to optimize existing services and develop new service offerings by ensuring each practice is engaged in the right way and establishing the right talent development and acquisition to met the future demand.
- Ensure vision and strategy for the all practices are transparent to all Kin and executive leaders to provide inspirational and motivatioin for practice members and ensures aligns with relevant global and regional business strategies
- Ensure the right organizational structures (including any sub practices) are in place to maximize career and delivery opportunities, along with craft development.
- Ensure that our practice leadership members are equipped via talent development with the right skillset plans, executing against a standard for the bands, setting career growth direction tied to band expectations with a focus on strong margin & agreed shape of workforce.
- Ensure the overall practices have healthy utilization performance that aligns to corporate measurements.
- Align with operations, supply management, client teams and talent acquisition leadership teams to ensure practice leaders are hiring the right Kin against our current client requirements, needs of the practice and our IDEA principles.
- Provide direction on internal engagement and communications to all practice leaders, plan internal goals to support the all practice maturity
- Ensure that practice thought leadership published to market content opportunities, participate in industry events, campaigns or sales pursuits, bring forward the best practices of the craft.
- Ensure the practices are abreast of industry trends and working to inform service line leadership of the trends and opportunities.
- Drive contribution to new business engagements. Encourage creation of appropriate content including case studies and other credential-building materials to support the successful execution of projects.
Minimum qualifications
- 10+ years experience leading multi functional IT / Digital teams.
- Consulting or agency experience is a requirement.
- At least 5 years of management experience, including 2 years of managing leaders.
- Experience growing the skills and leadership capacity of digital teams.
- Experience coaching and/or building and facilitating workshops to drive learning outcomes.
- Experience building psychologically safe environments that encourage everyone to contribute their ideas and feedback to the conversation.
- Experience hiring at pace to support a fast-growing business.
- Able to devise and execute strategic initiatives to improve the community and the business.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and collaborating across all areas of the business to drive initiatives forward.
- Experience supporting business development activities
- Strong organizational and team leadership skills
