Job Summary
The Technical Project Manager is the owner of all technical client-facing interactions and deliverables for assigned clients. The Technical Project Manager works closely with the Operations and Product team members to ensure all technical aspects of a client project are managed and executed.
Job Responsibilities
The Technical Project Manager will lead the client engagements and all technical project aspects. Strong attention to detail is an essential skill for this position, along with being a creative problem solver, with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
The following tasks will be performed by the Technical Project Manager:
Lead and document all technical requirements during the requirements gathering phase
Design, create and manage client-specific configurations for mobile and web applications
Analyze and improve client business processes and workflows for new technology implementation
Test configurations for mobile and web applications
Coordinate all internal build application testing
Compile client deliverables including:
Requirements Gathering Summary
Functional Design Document
User Acceptance Training Guide
Client Release Notes
Create and maintain all backend reference documents
Log product bugs and enhancements
Participate in process improvement initiatives
Required Skills and Experience:
3+ years demonstrated experience implementing complex technical solutions
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a relevant technical field
Experience providing services in a consultant or product role
Experience leading technical projects
Experience with the product development lifecycle
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Detail oriented
Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously
Highly-motivated with the ability to work independently
Desired Skills and Experience:
Experience implementing mobile, web, or GIS technologies with clients
Experience working in the utility, energy, or pipeline industry
Experience with GIS software products (Esri)
Experience managing software product development
Experience writing workflow and business process white-papers
Experience with high-accuracy field data collection, including GPS and RTK
Other:
Must be authorized to work in the US
Must be willing to support and able to moderate (25%) levels of travel up throughout the US
