Glaucoma Specialist – Chicago North Shore | High Referral Volume | Advanced Surgical Platform | Academic Affiliation

Endeavor Health, the principal academic affiliate of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, is seeking a fellowship-trained Glaucoma Specialist to join our established and growing Division of Ophthalmology.

This is a unique opportunity to develop a high-volume glaucoma practice within the largest multispecialty ophthalmology group on Chicago’s North Shore, supported by a strong internal referral network, modern infrastructure, and a collaborative physician-led environment.

Practice Environment:

Endeavor Health’s Eye and Vision Center is the largest multispecialty ophthalmology group on the North Shore, providing comprehensive care across all subspecialties.

  • 14 ophthalmologists
  • 4 optometrists
  • 9 comprehensive ophthalmologists, many with subspecialty training

You will have the opportunity to build a robust glaucoma-focused practice, supported by experienced colleagues, highly trained staff, and strong institutional infrastructure.

Clinical & Surgical Resources:

Our clinics are fully equipped with:

  • Humphrey Visual Field analyzers
  • Spectralis and Cirrus OCT
  • SLT and YAG lasers
  • PASCAL retina laser system
  • Optos fundus imaging
  • IOL Master 700

Our surgical center at Glenbrook Hospital features:

  • Centurion phacoemulsification systems
  • ZEPTOLink IOL positioning system
  • ORA intraoperative aberrometry
  • Zeiss Artevo microscopes with Callisto
  • Intraoperative OCT

This environment supports the full spectrum of glaucoma care, including laser, MIGS, and incisional glaucoma surgery.

Position Details

  • Role: Fellowship-trained Glaucoma Ophthalmologist (Board Certified/Eligible)
  • Locations: Skokie, Gurnee, and Glenbrook Hospital
  • Schedule: Full-time, 40 clinical hours per week, 46 weeks per year
  • Practice model: Physician-led, integrated medical group within a nationally recognized health system

Qualifications:

Minimum Education Level

  • Graduate of an accredited and recognized medical school required

Minimum Licensure Requirements

  • Eligible for medical licensing in the State of Illinois

Minimum Certification Requirements

  • Board certification/Board eligible in area of expertise

Compensation & Benefits

  • Compensation range: $300,000 – $528,000, based on experience, subspecialty training, and productivity
