- Define and develop comprehensive test strategies for optical sub-assemblies and related hardware.
- Lead cross-functional efforts to determine test requirements, coverage, and execution plans.
- Translate product specifications into practical and efficient test methodologies.
- Drive the development and deployment of test setups, procedures, and infrastructure.
- Execute functional and performance testing on optical and optoelectronic hardware, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Coordinate with design teams to enhance testability and streamline the validation process.
- Analyze test results to identify areas for improvement, risks, and potential design enhancements.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by ensuring test readiness and alignment across all teams.
- Document test solutions, processes, and results to maintain consistency and scalability.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in optical communication systems and testing techniques.
- PhD or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optics, or a related technical field.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience in hardware test or product validation.
- Hands-on experience with optical sub-assemblies or optical module testing is essential.
- Strong understanding of optical communication systems and optoelectronic products.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and facilitate technical discussions.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a track record of identifying and resolving complex issues.
- Experience in developing test solutions for optical or photonic hardware is preferred.
- Familiarity with automated test environments and test framework development is an advantage.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
